Poor Life expectancy 07/14/2014
This review is from: Seagate Hybrid Drive ST2000DX001 2TB MLC/8GB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s NCQ 3.5" Desktop SSHD
Pros:
Good boot times after it learns what files are read most frequently
Cons:
Terrible Life expectancy -- died within 6 months
Overall Review:
I have no idea what to do with this thing. It simply died one day. I'm praying I can recover the code I've written the past few months. I expected the drive to last far longer than this, and I have NO plans to put another hybrid in until I'm sure Seagate has their quality back to normal again.
And since I swapped the main computer drive to a hybrid, based on the 5 month success of this, I have to UNupgrade that machine as well, and soon.
Hybrid should be simple and should last as long as a regular drive. It's not even coming close. I will go back to my WD drives; they at least function.
