Cons:
The biggest problem with this model is the most important, the fans. I've had this thing for only 8 months and the fans have already started to fail. One of them won't spin unless I "give it a nudge" manually or with compressed air. The other fan has begun to slow down and I'm sure will soon be in the same state as the other.
No speed control. I want the fans to spin much faster, similar to the average desktop fan.
If you place a fan at the extreme bottom of the grid, it will prevent the frame from resting on the surface you are using and the entire laptop cooler will be held up by the fan. This prevents the fan from pulling in enough air to spin at full speed. I have had to prop the lower section up to give the fan enough space to operate properly. I need the fan to be in the lower right of the grid because that is where my GPU is located.
Overall Review:
After trying three different cooling pads, I think I will have to design and build my own, as none of the laptop coolers I have tried, or looked at, have all of the features I am looking for, or they are poorly designed and fail quickly.
