Good performance in open spaces, poor antenna design.

Pros:
Pros - Great router overall. I used it as a standard WiFi router for the first 8 months or so and as a WiFi bridge since then. Great connectivity and performance. Good user interface for configuration and updates.
Cons:
Cons - Not the most attractive component but you know that when you buy it. Quite large which may be challenging to tell from online photos so look at the dimentions. The biggest complaint I have is about the 3 antennas. The antennas do not stay in place if tilted off vertical axis at all. The purpose of the multiple antenna is to provide higher throughput and better range via varying the directions of the omnidirectional antenna to provide the best coverage and potentially avoid interference. You cannot do this with the current setup. I called Netgear tech support who said I could "glue" the antenna in place which is pretty silly because you could not ever adjust them from that point forward. Look for better products out there unless you just need a close range high speed router or access point.
Overall Review:
*Purchased via Staples. Netgear tech support could have been better by recognizing the product flaw, especially after I told them there are a number of online articles about their r7000's antenna 'flopping around' and provided a realistic fix.
