Asus Rampage IV x79 12/16/2015
This review is from: Intel 750 Series AIC 400GB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDPEDMW400G4X1
Pros:
Works great and easy install. I tried it in my evga Dark x79 (x4 slot) and couldn't get it to work. I researched and found where someone has it working in this motherboard . I tried it (my gaming computer) and it recognized it as a PATA (as I recall). I then set everything I could find to UEFI (again as I recall) and using my install disk of Windows 8.1 (apparently has the drivers), installed without a problem and as my boot drive. After installation, I disabled CSM. I'm writing this review on the computer that it is installed on. I then updated the drivers from Intel. I'm running SLI Titan X and installed it in the available PCI-E slot between the 2 graphic cards. Everything appears to running at full speed (at least the cards) according to the applications... GPU-Z, etc. I'm satisfied with the drive speed and it appears to be running close to specs... CrystalDiskMark (read: 2098 / write 891.8) Seq Q32T1
Cons:
None that I can think of.
Overall Review:
These are my results and your results may differ, depending on system specs and configuration. However, I was able to get it to work. Not sure of all the settings and exactly how I got it to work... but it's working great.
