This review is from: G.SKILL Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-1866C10D-16GAB
Pros:
- It worked out of the box for a year. Pretty quick.
Cons:
- System was faulting frequently, failed MemTest86 (tons of errors), working fine now with replacement RAM.
Overall Review:
I typically hope to get more than a year out of something like RAM, which is usually just get and forget.

Hi Jonathan
Glad to hear the memory was working well in your system. With 16GB of DDR3-1866, your computer should be very fast and stable. Make sure to configure settings in BIOS/EFI, or enable the XMP/DOCP. Without doing so, it is possible for the RAM to error and corrupt over time. This RAM is above standard, so the rated values will not be automatically detected. Once configured properly, you can expect the memory to run flawlessly. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.
Thank you
