This review is from: ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Gaming Motherboard
Pros:
-Worked great for a limited time while it was installed into my system.
-UEFI was super easy to use at all levels
-It looked pretty in my case
Cons:
-Board had trouble fitting exactly in my NZXT Phantom full tower Case
-Sata Ports had a tendency to become 'lost' and would require booting from UEFI after jiggling the ports
-This board did not like a certain set of sticks of HYPER X ram (Model HX430C15SBK2/16)
-Finally this board died on 11/1/2016 (a total of 6 months and 17 days) and would not even boot up to UEFI.
Overall Review:
Going to start the RMA process today for this board, I will be replacing it with another manufacturer. I would not recommend this board after running it for 6 months.
