3 out of 5 eggs Quiet, but difficult to install. 11/19/2016

This review is from: DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX 300-CPU Cooler 3 Direct Contact Heat Pipes 120mm PWM Silent Fan (AM4 Compatible)

Pros:

- The attachments let you install this CPU onto AMD or Intel CPUs. It's not difficult to switch things, just a few screws.

Cons:

- What IS a problem, though, is trying to get the plastic turn screws to click into place. This piece of carp has a funny way of positioning the screws, so the giant heat disperser blocks the way for any screwdriver to press down and click the screws into place. Even clicking them into place with your fingers is a bit of a challenge, so be mindful of that.

- On that note, the thing is BIG. It would definitely behoove you to install this giant before you screw on the motherboard. If you're a masochist, feel free to ignore this warning.

Overall Review:

I honestly think people could go for a better heatsink that isn't a bit frustrating to install like this one. It's not bad, and as long as you install it before screwing the motherboard into place you shouldn't have much trouble. But if you have to check something with the motherboard? And it involves removing the heatsink? And you already installed in the motherboard? Prepare for pain.
