Laptop was listed as new, it was refurbished. Delivered late in non-dell packaging. Also did not work, the battery would not charge when plugged in. The return and refund process is still ongoing months later, even after they received my returned product 30+ days ago. The seller tried to RMA as "does not need item anymore" to scam me a restocking fee rather than a return as DOA which does not. Been working with Newegg directly and they have reached out to the seller, but I have not heard ANYTHING from them. Do not give them any of your business.

Not what I wanted to see

I purchased 2 laptops in hope of finding a vendor that I could purchased used equipment for the not for profit that I service. It was said that the laptops were grade A refurbished one was the second was not. One was ready for use the other I had to pull apart clean and remove the previous owners information from.

I've only communicated to Mastertonics throgh the Newegg chat service. As far as I can tell Mastertronic is not very attentive to simple details. After twice sending them correspondence which included my Dell Tag number and that my machine was received broken, their second email to me said they thought I had not received my order. Then after acknowledging that my machine was broken on delivery, they sent me a return order RMA without shipping label and expected me to pay for their mistake. I again (3rd time) told them via newegg, that I need a repair/replacement not a refund. Again several days later they acknowledged that they should pay for return shipping and finally sent me a shipping label. I'm in the process of backing up my data and packing the item for return. I don't expect a replacement will be received very soon. Newegg has been very helpful, Mastertronic drops the ball often.

Ordered new product - was shipped refurbished. On return, they charged a restocking fee of almost $300. THANK GOODNESS Newegg supports their customers and helped resolve. Buy from someone else and save yourself hours of frustration. If I could rate -5 eggs, I would have

Computer was advertised as having Win 10 Pro installed, but when it arrived it had Win 10 Home installed. Reviews on NewEgg were so-so at best, however elsewhere they have stellar reviews. I contacted Mastertronics directly and they responded within 5 minutes, apologizing and providing me with a valid upgrade key and license which I successfully installed the evening of the same day I reported the problem. Despite my apprehension over the reviews here, I gotta say, that's the quickest reply and resolution I've ever experienced with a computer purchase problem. I can't speak for why others report having problems with doing the Win 10 Pro upgrade, other than to note that Microsoft activation process is a tad confusing regarding activating the upgrade - the activation key dialog box looks almost identical to the upgrade key dialog box, and where MS refers to the activation key as a "product key", the information provided from the vendor refers to it as a "license key". Personally I think that's a Microsoft Win 10 problem - Win 7 was much clearer about that as I recall... Win 10 is, uh... a bit too touchy - feely in general IMHO. Based on my interaction I'd buy from them again; the laptop was in immaculate shape, and appears to be brand new and unused.

Be careful with this seller. I can only describe it as a scam. 1. They advertise a laptop with Windows 10 Pro but they delivered one with Windows 10 Home. 2. The laptop looks used and I purchased a new one. The box is in very bad condition and there are ton of small scratches in the laptop. 3. They have a very strange customer service. I contacted them from their website where I have to enter the order number and yet they couldn't find my order. Then they are emailing me to call Newegg directly. Newegg must be aware of these merchants. It is affecting their reputation.

Strange random charger in the box, poorly packed.

I received and extra random Dell laptop charger with my purchase, YMMV on that one. The packing was terrible as the keyboard and mouse had been smashed under the system unit. The computer works fine and seems to be in good shape but it was already very dusty.

Laptop arrived with a completely different operating system than advertised (Ubuntu rather than Windows 7). No set up instructions whatsoever... Literally a computer in a box. Went round after round between Newegg and Mastertronics about who was responsible for fixing these issues... Each blaming the other of course. Mastertronics initially attempted to fix the problem by providing a code to load a new operating system. They said the code would come with instructions (specifically requested) on how to remove Ubuntu and replace it with Windows - but it did not.. Finally - I had to pay to return the computer. Which they processed as a replacement instead of a refund... again another issue that needed to be resolved. Ultimately I spent return shipping costs to get nothing and purchased a laptop elsewhere. I would not recommend Newegg or Mastertronics (still not sure who ultimately accepted the responsibility here... every piece of communication via e-mail I received had Newegg logo and address - I paid Newegg....yet this review says I should focus my comments on Mastertronics...of course)...

The laptop is exactly as described, and it arrived faster than expected. The packaging was the laptop shrink wrapped to a cardboard support sized perfectly for the Dell box which also contained the power supply. However, there was zero documentation; no paper at all. Granted, it's been a few years since I bought a laptop, but this packaging is more like my experience with refurbished equipment rather than new. Maybe it's the way they are all shipped these days. Regardless, the unit is perfect.

The only damages was a small dent and scratch on the laptop top. However this is not the fault of the seller but of the original owner. The product was delivered on time. If I had one complaint it would be that the refurbishment was done by the third party so there was no warranty with my laptop

Ordered new laptop received refurbished laptop

I ordered what was described as new Dell Precision 15 5000 M5510 laptop. I received it ahead of schedule which was great, however when I opened the package I saw it was refurbished. I started the return process that same afternoon... Mastertronics did send me a new in box one about 13 days later. The worse part was NewEgg was slow in sending an RMA number for the refurbished laptop, and there was no communication from NewEgg or Mastertronics about the new in box laptop being sent to me. It just showed up. I would suggest to Mastertronics describe their refurbished laptops as such and their new as such. Additionally, NewEgg should send out their RMA's much faster, and not a week later.

Warning - Stay far away

They sent me the wrong version of the XPS and facetiously suggested that I contact Dell to fix my screen?? They have avoided my questions and arguments and keep expecting me to pay a restocking and shipping fee. Literally avoid this company like the plague. EDIT: You should read the other reviews. Don't make the mistake of purchasing from this company. After an unproductive and frankly offensive back and forth for a week with little to no progress I posted the original review. Immediately the company was willing to offer me a full refund - but in exchange for taking down the review. I asked for a guarantee of refund and a shipping label. I was met with more attitude. I'm going through Newegg directly for the refund now. The conversation history I have with them is dozens of messages of them denying they sent the wrong product, contradictory offers, suggestions of contacting other service teams from Dell and Newegg and in general avoidant and dismissive behavior.

A bit disappointing....

We ordered two refurbised Dell XPS 13 Laptops. They arrived on time and were in execellent physical condition. However, they were not equipped with drivers for the wireless network adaptor and since there is no wired network apaptor on these machines getting the network up and running involved a time consuming procedure. When we called the support lines we were informed by a recording that service requests would be responded to within "24 business hours" which I guess is 3 business days or about the time it took for the computers to arrive after being ordered.

They shipped Refurbished item instead of NEW. Also, original model and serial number not visible and was covered with “fragile” stickers. It came in the box Dell using for refurbished product. we buy computers for business on regular basis and know exactly how NEW item looks. RMA was issued fast but with 15% restocking fee!! ???? They charged me $228.62 restocking fee after creating fraud!!! Stay away from this seller!

Ordered a laptop with Win10 Pro and got a device with Win10 Home, now I am waiting for their support to get back to me. Looking at other reviews, not the first time this happens, meaning, this is a really bad seller, do not buy from him.

I purchased two of these computers advertised as Windows 10 Pro. When I received them one had Windows 10 Pro, nut the other was Home. I contacted Support and they provided me with a product key to upgrade to 10 pro however when I upgraded it wouldnt activate and I had to call Microsoft. They also assured me that if I ordered another they would make sure it was 10 pro. Well I received it and it was 10 home. I will never purchase from this seller again. Beware!
