Pros: This 20" LCD has the same resolution as most 22" LCDs, which means the pixels are smaller and therefore you get a clearer picture.
Everything about this monitor is perfect so far. I bought this because the pricepoint is basically the same as most 19" LCDs with lesser resolutions.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: The base was a little tough to install because it's a very snug fit. I held the monitor upside down in my lap and monkeyed with the base, and eventually I got it to securely fasten.
I installed NVIDIA's newest drivers (for my graphics card), plugged the new monitor in, and set the resolution using NVIDIA's new taskbar icon. I didn't have to download any weirdo drivers from Acer.
When I first turned the LCD on and booted up my computer, there was a noticeable high pitch humming coming from the monitor, but it went away after a few minutes.
Note: When you buy an LCD, you always run the risk of getting a dead pixel or two. This rarely happens with LCD's from excellent companies like Acer. Luckily, I have no dead pixels, but just beware, there's nothing you can do about 1 or 2 dead pixels if you get them.

Very nice monitor for price9/13/2007 11:13:36 AM
Pros: No dead pixels! This is rare quality in LCD technology.. usually only high-end products are completely defect free. Very large screen space- this thing is a monster compared with my 14.1" laptop screen. It's also very sleek looking and compact- the plastic bevel around the screen is less than an inch across.
Cons: Colors were a bit too bright for my taste- I had to turn down the saturation with Catalyst so it looks more like what I'm used to. Also the base doesn't come off.. it would be impossible to return once you assemble it.
Overall Review: Doesn't have a glossy screen, which is why I bought it. Viewing angle is decent for LCD monitors, but isn't even close to my Thinkpad T60's 179 degree viewing angle. Also it doesn't come in much packaging so it's blind luck if it's not destroyed during shipping (UPS won't replace badly-padded packages).
Pros: Monitors are a great value. I purchased two of them in Nov 07 and one more in Jan 08. No dead pixels on any monitor. There are at least two different sub-models that Acer makes. The two that I ordered in Nov work for just about any resolution that I throw at them; under 1680 x 1050. They were manufactured in Sept 07. I use 1024 x 768 for my VGA Scaler to view TV on one, and 1360 x 768 VGA for my Xbox 360. Looks amazing and the 5ms response time is great.
Cons: The newer one I just go is a different story. Its manufacture date is Nov 07. It will only accept 1680 x 1050. It displays "Invalid Input" for any VGA input not 1680 x 1050, and on the DVI side it will scale the image putting black around the edges if the input is not 1680 x 1050. Very disappointing! The model, version, and part number are all the same. There are three physical differences between what i will call the two types based on the manufacture date, old and new respectively. First the power button. On the older ones the green light has light coming from the entire button, and has small vertical lines in it. The new on has a solid green light that is noticeably lit from the center. The information sticker is styled different between the two types. The Vista certified sticker is silver on the new one and white on the old ones.
Overall Review: Gave a 5 star because the specs only say that it works for 1680 x 1050. The "unsupported" resolutions that the older ones displayed were a full stretch, the 360 was slightly stretched vertically, 16x10 vrs 16x9, and the TV was a 16x10 vrs 3x4 about like watching normal tv on a wide screen, but no black borders.
Pros: cheapest of the bunch, great screen, very crisp, very clear
worth it
comes with D-Sub which i needed, weighed nothing, uses less electricity then the others, and it comes in black
Cons: umm so far none, but the stand thing on the back seems to pop out of place a bit if i apply pressure there, figured it out when i was attaching stand, not really a big deal because it took some power to get it to pop out, and it popped back in fairly easy, and its pretty sturdy
Overall Review: well i upgraded to this from a 18"CRT, and my first impressions when i turned high res on? HOLLY Cr@P I HAVE SPACE! being powered just just and FX 5200 its going pretty well, and i can watch the F1 race and chat on the fourms at the same time!
also ya some people who get fuzzy text, thats because your running at to low a resolution, once you bring it to native resolution at 1680 1050 or so everything goes crystal
also, this thing is extremely bright! i have a dim-ish-ly lit room and my contrast is at 20 brightness at 5, so i don't burn my eyes out lol

Pros: Wonderful, absolutely wonderful monitor! Excellent price, and beautiful performance, especially for a value line model! Contrast and brightness is spot on, and the native resolution is just right for my style. Zero dead pixels and, as always, Newegg surpassed my expectations! Delivered to me the very next day!
Cons: Only one con: At the native resolution (1680x1050), this monitor is limited to a 60hrz refresh rate (60 frames per second).
Overall Review: Maybe I'm spoiled, but I'm much fonder (or is it "more fond"? Who knows) of the 80 fps range. Also, the preset adjustments, while nice in theory, go unused by me for the most part.
Pros: Price of course, this is the best deal out there. Great colors very bright. No dead pixels, it works the way it should. I am really happy with it.
Cons: If I lower the brightness below 95 it starts to make a hum/buzzing noise. Probably a normal noise coming from the florescent back light. I keep my brightness at 96 and its silent, so it really doesn't matter. Other than that the monitor is perfect.
Overall Review: Great buy if you are looking for a 20-22 inch LCD on a budget, don't hesitate to buy this one.
Pros: This 20" LCD has the same resolution as most 22" LCDs, which means the pixels are smaller and therefore you get a clearer picture. Everything about this monitor is perfect so far. I bought this because the pricepoint is basically the same as most 19" LCDs with lesser resolutions.
