Is the OS 32 or 64-bit?

The OS is 64 bit with UEFI. Nearly all production based Windows 8.1 systems are 64 bit with UEFI. Some of the Windows 8.1 "Tablets" use 32 bit.

what software is included? Not Operating Software..... but user software like word, excel, ect....

Only an introductory Microsoft Office is included with the laptop which covers excel, word, etc.  The introductory offer is only for 30 days and then they want you to buy it.

Does this include a headphone jack of some sort? Acer's website says no. Newegg says yes.

Yes it does. No mic jack though. Use either the one that comes with the laptop or a headset with just one source for both headphones and mic.

Is the 4-cell Li-Ion (3220 mAh) Battery replaceable/upgradeable to extend the battery life?

Accepted Answer

No the battery is not upgradable. 
The battery is thin, flat and integrated into the system between the clam shell base.
To change battery, upgrade ram (only one slot by the way) or replace hard drive requires the removal of many screws but the bottom base comes off in one piece and exposes everything.

Will this support G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Laptop Memory Model F3-1866C11S-8GRSL ?

The RAM in question will work as will the F3-1600C11S-8GRSL.
The memory controller in that CPU is meant for DDR3L-1333 so anything faster than that will be slowed to the 1333 timings and negate any real benefit.

Can I upgrade this computer's processor if so with what?

You'll have to find out what type of CPU Slot your motherboard is designed for.   Those are the only ones that will work with your motherboard. ( a Pentium cpu and a Core i3 are not compatible slots).

Can I load Windows 7 on this computer or does it require a computer specific version?

I'm sorry, I don't know.  I upgraded to 8 Pro and changed the ram to 8GB stick.  It's pretty good for the price.
