Hey this add doesn't specifically say its a touchscreen.  Is it a touchscreen or not?

It is not touchscreen. I was unsure of this also, but didn't have the best of luck on another computer that was touchscreen. So in the end out worked out.

This laptop comes with windows 8,1 ?

It comes with Windows 8 from the factory.  Windows 8.1 is available as a free download from the Windows store.  Be sure to have a spare 32GB USB key handy to make recovery media, as the Acer utility won't support using anything else for the Windows installation files. A 16GB key will not be large enough, as a full 16GB of formatted space is required.

I would like to be sure if this screen is glossy or matte?

The unit I received  from my purchase on January 7th had a matte screen. However, it look excellent and I am very satisfied with the purchase. I also maxed out the RAM with 32GB and put a 128GB SSD as the boot drive, loaded Win7 and this laptop is a beast!

Is the entire laptop given a glossy finish?

The laptop isn't really that glossy, I think that it is more glossy in the photo than it actually appears in real life. Overall though, I am pretty happy with it. The speakers on this thing are absolutely amazing.

Does it come with windows 8 64bit since 32bit only support about 4gigs of RAM anyways or was this something changed with windows 8?

What is the casing made of? plastic or aluminum

It has a brush aluminum case which is nice. There is a bit of plastic on the screen where the antennas live behind.

If I wanted to install an additional SSD...do I need to purchase anything else to make it fit inside?

Yes.  There is a bracket that is sold separately to hold the drive in the bay.   I just ghetto'ed it with some double sided foam tape under the drive to build the height needed off the bay bottom and some dense foam as a block on the side to keep the drive wedged in.
