I bought this for my teenage son last Christmas. He plays Fallout 4 on his PS4 but he said that the computer should be able to support it as it meets the requirements.

Here are the minimum Fallout 4 PC requirements:

Intel Core i5-2300 2.8 GHz/AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz or equivalent.

Yes, it is. I was able to connect my bluetooth headset with this laptop without much effort.
I am using Anker SoundBuds Slim Wireless Headphones, Bluetooth 4.1

Does this laptop have any issues overheating?

I've never had any problems with it, and I live in Africa, which believe me, is really harsh on electronics. I did buy a laptop fan for it, but that was more the counteract the dust and heat of Africa rather than any inherent problem with the computer. Just keep the vents free of obstructions and you should be fine.

I have the E5-575G-527J variant (256gb ssd instead of 1tb+128gb) and the keyboard is backlit. The popular complaint about this series is that the backlight is not configurable beyond on/off. Apparently many people think it doesn't stay on long enough.
