Does the hinge have a full 360 degrees rotation? (can it be folded with the screen up?) I don't see any images of it doing this, but on other sites with this model they do.

It can fold like a normal laptop, but you can also keep pushing the scree all the way around to the back to put it into 'tablet mode'.  A little annoying with the keyboard still exposed on the backside, but functional overall.

I assume you wish to charge a USB type C device from a standard USB charger.  Yes, but you are limited to a 1amp charge rate.  It will work, only slower.

I have had this R5-471 for several months now and continue to be impressed with everything about it including battery life.  I get more than 6 hours of pretty continuous use on a charge.

Anything I should know about this Ultrabook before buying? Is this bettter than the spectre x360?

I bought one of these (refurbished) and overall I've been very happy with it. It's very fast and a joy to use.

The only issue, and it's potentially a big one, is that the display drivers aren't right...and can't be updated. Or at least I couldn't find the proper ones to use after hours of searching and installing different tools to fix it. The result is that any non-native resolution text that uses pixel doubling (which is more than you might think) is very blurry. It's annoying. I found a third-party workaround that plays with the resolution and makes everything smaller...then you just zoom in on the browser to be able to see...but it's not ideal and definitely not an option if you have trouble seeing small text since a lot of stuff can't be zoomed.

Can memory 8GB extended to 12 or 16?

not intended to be user expandable.  there is no "memory door" as in older laptops, so the entire case would have to be separated.

However, it is very fast with 8gb and I  have checked resource use and never found it to be short of ram.

Also upgrades to win10 with no issues.
