Pros: 1) Screen: Clear, bright, and easy on the eyes. 2) Construction: Not a rock but not cheap. (Fits the price) 3) Keys: Actually an amazingly nice keyboard to type on. 4) Sound: Quality, still coming from small speakers though. 5) Graphics: Rocks WoW's world. Mileage may vary. 6) Processor: Never seems to bog down. 7) Memory: Vista is still snappy.

Cons: 1) Touch Pad: Needs to be 1/2 inch to the right. 2) USB: No rear. Right side is too far forward. 3) Bluetooth: None :( 4) Finger Prints?: No. Seriously get over them.

Overall Review: You have to make very few compromises for the price on this Laptop. You get a stellar platform and are probably saving nearly $500.00 from other similar models. Finger Prints: Yeah they are there. Just get over it or buy a key cover. The keyboard is really very nice to type on. If you have weak wireless signal one of your antenna has probably just disconnected. Flip the laptop over and open up the smaller access panel. Plug it back in. Then go to acer's website and download the software components you want. If you get warnings that you are trying to install 32 bit drivers on a 64 bit system just make sure you have the correct version of windows selected on the downloads page. Cons: Really, very few cons, but I'd like my review to be fair - Fingerprint magnet, as others have pointed out. It''s kind of bad on the keyboard and top lid, but really not a big deal for me, otherwise, I would still clean it often - No Bluetooth, at first this held me back, but then I realized that adapters are now rather inexpensive & small, here on newegg ofcourse. The downside is you sacrifice a USB port this way - Hard Drive Size. With most laptops now with 320gb I was surprised that this was only 250gb. Not a problem for me, however, as I use external hard drives & a home server often - That's all!, in my opinion, really insignificant "issues".

Overall Review: Another great feature I didn't have enough space for, this laptop stays surprisingly Cool. I cannot find a way to get it warm compared to other laptops that don't even have dedicated video. It's just great. Newegg delivered very quickly as always! Pros: Nice screen size. Great graphics card (gotta love NVIDIA :). Other laptops i was considering had geForce 9800's and similar, but i figured this one with the 130 would be a much better choice. I can run Left 4 Dead and various other games with similar system requirements on high settings perfectly. I haven't tried Crysis yet but other reviews on here said it worked so I'll give it a shot. Fingerprint scanner is pretty sweet. The number keypad is also very useful; I was surprised at how many laptops have them nowadays. It has 4 GB of ram which is more than enough to get anything done.

Cons: It can get a bit hot, but its nothing unbearable Fan can get a little loud, but only when running a game or several programs at once. Hard drive is only 250gb (I've been using a laptop with 320gb for the last 3 years, so I'll just have to adjust.) It does have windows vista 64 bit, but is eligible for a free windows 7 upgrade. Comes with a lot of annoying games and other bloatware, but that's expected when buying a new computer. The processor is only 2.1 GHz, but it's a dual core and i haven't seen any slowdowns or lag at all when playing games.

Overall Review: This is definitely worth the price. Even with the fastest shipping, i still paid less than $800. If you need a laptop for gaming and don't feel like dropping 2 grand or more, then definitely consider this one. I've never used ACER before but this seems to be one of their higher quality products :P

Cons: I had to send it back because the built in wireless was hosing up my network and dropping signal. It was pretty deceiving and hard to figure out because it would work intermittantly and show it was at full strength all of the time. New Egg was great about returning it and it was replaced with a new laptop (same model) and it works perfectly. The mouse pad is off centered and my wrists activate it. I turned it off and use a wireless mouse now. The hard drive is small by comparison.

Overall Review: Be wary of the wireless if you purchase this computer and are having disconnects or very slow speeds! Other than that, it's been an awesome PC. I use it for some gaming and it gets warm but I'm impressed with the framerates on most games. Boots up and loads programs very quickly, especially with Windows 7 loaded. I couldn't find a computer with better specs or reviews for the money when I searched newegg. Pros: This laptop has a great blend of features for my needs. As an incoming college freshmen, I had either two approaches in mind for my computing needs. A high-end Apple laptop (which admittedly, is a great laptop) or seeing what kind of sweet spot bang-for-buck-last-at-least-2-years kind of laptop. I opted for the second obvious, though convolutedly titled, choice. I was not familiar first-hand with anything from Acer besides an LCD monitor I'd purchased, but had been quite satisfied in it's adequacy. Adequacy though, is not a valid description of this laptop. This laptop has enough "oomph" to handle Vista and multiple computing tasks in a timely, fluid fashion finally comparable to WindowsXP (for me anyway). Cons: Not too many complaints - but there are certainly some things a buyer should be aware of besides strict praise. Note on the specifications the native resolution of this laptop monitor is 1366x768 pixels. On one hand, this screen produces wonderful, crisp images and I am immensly satisfied. However, it seems that since the resolution is so "wonky", the only place to get video drivers (as of the date of this review anyway) for this is through Acer, and NOT via NVIDIA. The keyboard also feels a little slick at first, but becomes quite usable after one uses it awhile (think brakes in a borrowed car type of learning curve). There is one function on this laptop, some sort of eco-power mode which worked originally on this laptop by pressing a semi-large button on the top right hand area of the keyboard. After installing a Windows Vista service patch at some point, it decided to cause a software error and stop functioning. Now it is just an extra piece of clutter on this laptop.

Overall Review: I've recommended this laptop to many friends and family of mine looking for laptops right now. No complaints from at least 2 other people I personally know who bought this model.

Pros: I bought this computer for my sister going into college (mechanical engineering major). Cons: I can only think of a few and its already been mentioned. The keyboard is kinda different. Im going to say different because, i am getting used to it ( im typing this review on it) the keys are kind of slippery and setup like a sony keyboard or a mac... The harddrive is also kinda small for todays needs. but that can be swapped for the price that you pay for this.

Pros: Great specs for the price, runs most modern games smoothly. Build quality is pretty good. Has a full numerical keypad. Beautiful screen. Is eligible for a free upgrade to Windows 7 when it is released.

Cons: The flat keyboard took some getting used to, it was a tad difficult to find the home row at first, but once you get used to it it's not bad at all. Battery life could be better. Comes with a lot of crummy software pre-installed, but what computer doesn't these days. Lid smudges easily and it doesn't latch shut.

Overall Review: Great laptop, but we all know by now that Vista is a total resource hog. Make sure you take advantage of the free Windows 7 upgrade, more info is available at Acer's website.

Pros: Fast, portable gaming. Great looks and an incredible price. Geforce video card puts out very good frame rates in most games. Wireless performance is super! keyboard takes a bit to get use to but the keys are crisp and responsive. Not mushy like most laptops. ports, ports and more ports!

Cons: cover is prone to finger prints. (who cares, am I right?) Gets a little warm sitting on your lap while gaming. The only other con is the lack of a windows 7 upgrade. Although vista is finally a stable, fast addition to the windows family. It only took Microsoft 3yrs to get it that way. If you need the big box (dell) type support, then pay the extra money and buy a dell. Acer's support is average at best.

Overall Review: I actually purchased this computer for my wife to toodle the internet with, but after cleaning out the bloatware and junk I was pretty amazed with the performance. This is the 3rd laptop I've purchased the other 2 being a gateway Fx and a Dell XPS this laptop beats the pants off of both of them and they were 2x-3x the price. As usual Newegg rocked with the shipping. I ordered it on a Friday and its was on my doorstep Monday morning. Bottom line: Some people are nit picking this laptop in the reviews, don't be swayed by them. If your looking for great laptop for back to school, or something to frag your friends in TF2, this laptop delivers.
