Pros: - Large screen - Keyboard and Touchpad layout - Dedicated ATi Radeon GFX card for gaming - DVD-R/RW - HDMI out - Not much bloatware
Cons: - Low battery life; 1 hour or less if gaming, 2 hours if working on power saving features - Slower hard drive access time
Overall Review: - Great for the price ($600) - I wanted to address some of the concerns below based on my experience: + Overheating: Mine doesn't overheat at all. Temperatures are monitored with a program called Core Temp. When gaming with the laptop on my lap temperatures are below 60f. + Lid: Yes, the lid does feel a little flimsy. + Accessing network folders & Windows Autoplay ?: This has nothing to do with the laptop, it's a configuration issue with Windows. + BSOD's: I haven't had one BSOD since purchase (few months ago). - The GFX card is decent for gaming. I am able to play WoW at 1600x900 and almost all settings on Ultra except water, sun shafts and shadows, all set to low (non-essential imo). This gets 30fps majority of the time and I'm definitely able to raid and run instances without freezes or DC's. CoD: Blackops plays perfectly though I'm not so familiar with what resolution/settings. Overall I love it, great for gaming and HDMI out (movies) at friends and families.
