Question 1

Dose it have a web -cam?

Accepted Answer

There's not a built-in web cam. The top is flat and level, though, so you shouldn't have a problem setting up a stand-alone web cam up there.

Question 2

Does this monitor come with any cables?

Accepted Answer

Yes it comes with a hdmi cable, dvi cable and vga cable.

Question 3

does this monit0r have speakers ?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, they do not have built-in speakers. There is an audio out port on the back of them though, so you can plug in your own speakers. I love this monitor! Currently have two.

Happy shopping!

Question 4

does it come with hookups?

Accepted Answer

I am not sure which hookups that you may be referring to. It does come with receptacles for VGA, DVI, HDMI, and power. It also comes with cables for each of those. If you want to use the HDMI format with a Nvidia video card you it will require the purchase of either a mini HDMI to HDMI cable or adapter in order to fit into the back of the graphics card.

In the event that you may want to mount the monitor onto the wall, this hardware must be purchased seperatly.

Question 5

Can you just plug this moniter into an HP computer or do you have to configure?

Accepted Answer

This monitor can be plugged directly into your computer. If at all possible, use either the DVI or HDMI connections for best results. No special drivers are required.

Upon booting, right click the desktop and ensure the resolution is set to 1920x1080.

If you use your system for gaming be sure to change the resolution within each game that it is possible to the same 1920x1080 setting.

This is a very good monitor and you will surely see a substantial improvement.

Question 6

what is the size of the base of the stand ? how wide and how deep ?

Accepted Answer

9 and 1/8 inches (W) x about 6 and 3/4 inches (depth). The back of the monitor sits about over dead-center.
Picture quality is very good.
Hope this helps!

Question 7

Does this come with an HDMI cable?

Accepted Answer

It comes with every cable shown in the last picture, which is pretty much every cable it can use. This includes the HDMI cable

Question 8

is stand wobbly? how is the glare?

Accepted Answer

The stand isn't wobbly, but it depends on how much you move it. Also, the glare, in my experience, doesn't bother me, but it might be too much for others (mine sits directly in front of a window). To cut down on the glare, don't put it near windows or light sources.

Question 9

Does this unit have speakers? can some be added?

Accepted Answer

No it does not have speakers, but it does have an RCA port on the back of it to add some if you wish, I would just plug the speakers into the back of the computer if thats possible in your setup.

Question 10

Does this have the standard mounting holes on the back to mount it on a wall or arm? From the pictures it does not appear to have anyway to mount it other than the stand..

Accepted Answer

It doesn't have any mounting holes or bracket to mount to an arm or wall. It can only be setup with the stand. I ordered it a couple of months ago to replace a dying monitor for a workstation.
