Does anybody know the aspect ratio? Is it a 16:9 or no?

Yes - 1080p (1920x1080) has a 16:9 aspect ratio as well as 1600x900 and 1280×720 (720p).  Here are 16:10 resolutions (from Wikipedia):

they are on the back. they are not very good. The monitor is great, I only bought them for the monitor. If you look at the back view you will see that it sticks out about an inch

You can turn down the volume all the way, but no option to fully turn them off.

Does it ship with the necessary cables ? Or must be bought separately ?

I recall an HDMI cable was included and am using it, but don't remember if there were others besides the HDMI and power cord.
