Acer P223Wwd 22" WSXGA+ 1680 x 1050 D-Sub, DVI LCD Monitor

Pros: If you're afraid you're spending a lot more money just to get a white monitor, don't be. This monitor blows me away. There are some complaints about brightness, but there's a button on the monitor that allows you to quickly dim or brighten the image. You don't realize how big 22" is until it's sitting the in front of you. It's a lot of money to step up from a 19" to a 22" but it's really worth it. I work in graphic design and I can put two standard size pieces of paper side by side in Photoshop on this monitor.

Cons: I have no complaints about this monitor. No dead pixels, no stuck pixels, and it arrived two days after I ordered it in great condition.

Overall Review: I will be using this monitor along with my MacBook. I had to buy an adapter cable from Apple for the DVI but it's worth the clearer image. The screen is huge and blows you away. I watch movies on this monitor from across my dorm room. The 22" are well worth your money over a smaller monitor. The only problem with it is I might never leave my computer. Simply amazing.

Pros: This monitor is fairly flat, noiseless, and produces little heat. Its fairly light weight and produces very little heat. Its OSD is attractive and easy to navigate. It has good features such as settings for pictures, movies, or simple text. The monitor is bright and its display appear crystal clear and very sharp on its 1680x1050res. Contrast is great! Possibly the best image I've seen. The viewing area is very large and viewing angle is fine too. Ghosting is debatable.

Cons: SPECIFICALLY, my monitor came with 2 noticeable dead pixels after a thorough search. Because the pixel pitch is very small it was very hard to detect these dead pixels. There were also some small imperfections on the display too, however, none that greatly affect my overall viewing experience. Its OSD is somewhat limited, i would have liked to see better color corrections (such as specific color breakdowns). The cables it came with seem pretty standard, i would have liked some more heavier duty cables.

Overall Review: Wow, its a great monitor!! cheap cables mean little considering the price. The movie setting on the monitor practically kills any ghosting. It has a very good, very bright and reactive image and beat my expectations. i was a little concerned about Acer product seeing this is my first one from them. I am impressed, satisfied and happy.

Pros: VERY nice looking cabinet. Hard to find a white monitor these days! NO DEAD PIXELS :-). Picture is bright & crisp. Looks awesome with my Mac G5. Works great with OS X, Visa Home Premium & XP. DVI & VGA inputs w/cables included.

Cons: Really none at this point.

Overall Review: If you have a Mac & you want a great monitor, BUY it. Apple makes awesome monitors, but they are WAY expensive! You can buy 2 of these bad boys or the price of one Apple monitor. I know Apple uses a higher quality LCD, but he average user won't notice much difference. I am completely happy with my purchase & am considering getting the same monitor in black for my Windows machine. CONSIDER ME SOLD!!!!

Pros: My wife has a home-based Invitation and Candy Wrapper business that requires her to do a lot of photo and graphic editing along with detailed print. This monitor was an upgrade for her 19" BenQ that dies after 3 years. The white cabinet was difficult to find since her office decor is done in white. Enough of the fluff though! This monitor has an incredible display. The colors at all settings are fabulous. There are absolutely no dead pixels and the response is tremendous. The personal adjustments are really user friendly and quite simple. Software load was flawless using XP.

Cons: She spends more time looking at it than me!

Pros: Yeah, the posted comments here and elsewhere helped me pick this monitor for my sons' computers. The guy that said the vibrancy of colors on the glossy screen with brightness that was so bright it might need to be turned down was right. I really did find I just enjoyed looking at things on this screen an awful lot more than on the standard "non-glare" screens (like mine..sniff). I'm jealous of my kids now. No dead pixels I could find on either of the ones I purchased. Yeah they are bright, first time I have ever considered turning down factory brightness. Big widescreen for the price.

Cons: Yeah, an unusual native resolution, but only one or two apps I have found where the native res was not represented. BFG's 8800gtsoc-ee handled the res with no prob. Yeah, the stand is a little wimpy if it is on a platform that isn't stable or you can move by kicking it or such. It seems to stand to reason that in general you wouldn't want to put any system into those conditions if you can help it. Was fine on the two work desks for my kids. No height adjust, but hey, the specs tell you that and you know what you are getting into for the price.

Overall Review: Both boxes arrived hacked up, like, I guess Edward Scissorhands couldn't get another movie gig. Fortunately the robust packaging prevented any damage as both monitors work flawlessly. Even my wife (who hates money spent on computer stuff-though not what that expensive stuff will do!) was jealous of the screens the boys got... If I could tell you one more thing I learned from this: Get one for your wife!

Pros: The tilt adjustment on this monitor is very nice and has a wide range of motion - you can't move it up and down for height adjustment but there is really no need for this in most cases. The monitor is super clear and bright too boot. The colors are very vivid if not too much so on some settings. Has graphics presets for video/graphics/text that allow for on the fly tuning which are really handy and neat. The graphics settings by far looks the best. The resolution is amazing, and 0 DEAD/STUCK pixels. PRICE! IS AMAZING !

Cons: There aren't any con's that I've seen yet. A little light bleeding on black screens from the top, but this can be expected and is the norm on most monitors I've seen. The screen is so glossy I can see myself in it and I love it to death no not because I love seeing myself but because it makes the screen look amazing. Monitor does get a little warm in the back, but that's merely because it is SOO amazing :) The colors are very blue at stock, but the multitude of options and color tweaks make this not a con-

Overall Review: If you're thinking of buying this monitor for graphics related work or gaming I would say go ahead. I played CS:Source on this and it made taking down people from across the map a cinch. The response time is more then adequte and the screen just looks amazing. I also do graphical work and the size of the screen is really amazing for working with large or multiple graphics.

Pros: Very Clear and Bright display. No ghosting in anything that I could tell. Came with both DVI and VGA cables. Multiple presets are convenient. Stand is nice and sturdy. No dead pixels! Great Monitor for the price. Newegg's Service, ordered one day got it on the next.

Cons: There's a floater under the electronics shielding in the back. It freaked me out when I lifted it out of the packaging, hearing it rattle around.

Overall Review: I was originally disappointed as I thought I was going to be shipping this back with the floater in it. But it works flawlessly, go figure. I settled on this model for two reasons, the sturdier stand and the higher contrast. I was not disappointed with either. Games and Movies look amazing. I will be getting another one soon when my budget allows.

Pros: Wow! I had done alot of research on many displays and this one has it all! I wanted the glossy screen (makes for more vivid colors) and this one performs excellent! Very bright, great controls (especially paired with Catalyst tweaking). ABSOLUTELY NO DEAD PIXELS or noises from monitor. BUY IT NOW!

Cons: No height adjustment....like that matters...it has a builtin wallmount so mount it as high as you want!

Overall Review: Highly recommended! Has brought a new experience while gaming on my rig. AMD64x2 6000+, 2GB A-Data Ram, Biostar Nforce mobo, ATI radeon X1950pro, and now this monitor!
