Is this Windows 8 home or Windows 8 Professional?

When I go to the Control Panel, the system does not say if it is Windows 8 home or Professional.  It just states the system is a Windows 8.  The processor is Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU@3.4a0GHz 3.40 GHZ.  It is a 64-bit Operating System.

I just ordered this product and id like to add more ram and ssd. Can someone point me to specific brands and products that would go well with this system? I'm kind of a computer noob. Id like the ram to be 2x4.

I can answer the SSD part of your question... I purchased a 240GB Crucial SSD (CT240M500SSD1), installed it successfully, and moved the operating system to it.  The 24GB SSD included with the PC was, in my opinion, too small to be useful.

Getting power to the new SSD was easy, but reaching the SATA port (don't forget to buy that cable) on the motherboard took some luck and skill.

I can't answer your question with 100% surety, but my guess would be no, since this is manufactured by Acer.

I think this is one of those machines that you buy for the opposite reason -- you get a machine with the power of one you might build yourself -- for a reasonable price -- similar to if you were to build one yourself -- all without having to actually build it yourself.

Again, I'm not 100% positive on this -- but I would highly doubt you could get this in parts and build it out.

I received this product and all of the ports, were closed off with a sticker that says that this port is disabled, and now I can not connect it to my monitor through the HDMI port, how do i get around this?

connect it to the graphics card, not the motherboard. Just look a little bit lower

I am planning to buy the acer-ag3-ur39, however I am wondering if anyone ever opened the chassis to check which GTX770 card and motherboard (like EVGA/asus etc) it has exactly?

is this pc recommended for the use of gaming and will it run bf4 or minecraft at around 60-70 fps on ultra settings?

The 8100 "Elite" is relatively old technology, and it is no longer built by HP/Compaq. Nonetheless, it is a robust, powerful workstation platform with stock components that place it ahead of the technological curve. This PC could be transformed into an impressive gaming/video production box by increasing its memory, installing an SSD, and upgrading video card. (Exception: the small form factor ("SFF") box does not support full-height video cards.)

How is the cooling for the CPU out of the box? The pix of the heat sink look a little strange

The computer does not come with a rear fan. Maybe it isn't needed for the I7 models,  I'm not sure. It is very quiet because of that. It has a cooler master fan for the processor and that is pretty much it. I think the components are well worth the price. Comes with a decent tower, kingston ram, and a Seagate barracuda hd. I've had mine a little over a week with no complaints. Good luck finding a comparable deal for the price. Only comes with windows 8 something to keep in mind. The 8.1 update with boot to desktop setting is nice. I think I prefer 8.1 over 7 after some use. Hope that helps.
