Does this computer come pre- built or would you have to build it yourself?

It comes prebuilt, however I ended up returning the unit when I was unable to upgrade the graphics card and power supply.  The mother board comes with a strange power pin that does not allow you to upgrade the power supply.  You can repin an atx power supply if you are good enough, however it can cause problems with your pc if you do it wrong.   I recommend building your own if you can.

Question 2

On the reviews section, a few reviews state that there is a loud fan in it, if that is true i do not wish to have this model, is it true? when gaming/heavy load i do not want a loud fan

Hi Reece,

While I can hear the fan if I turn off the TV/radio/refrigerator/cat/etc, I have to work at it.  It really is pretty quiet.  I haven't noticed any increase in fan noise when playing higher-demand games or schlepping large Photoshop files about.  Whether this changes this summer when my home heats up, I'll have to see.

Unless you require absolute quiet, I really don't think you will find the fan distracting, especially if the game you are playing is loud.

I am quite happy with the system; it's been almost 4 months since I purchased it and no problems other than the few I've caused myself.

Does this pc have a lan card that will accept an Ethernet cable, or is it wireless only?

it has drillings for a extra fan at the back of the computer do u know what fan i need to use mm size ?

Yes, think it takes 80 mm, it has two sets of drilled holes with round grill in middle

is there an available slot for a SSD drive to be added or is it not supported by the motherboard or case for a 2nd drive and for the smaller SSD drive?

I have installed a Samsung SSD in this machine, while leaving the traditional HDD installed for photos, data files, etc.  You will need the conversion "sled" for mounting a smaller SSD drive in a traditional HDD bay, but this is a nominal item.  Works great. Machine is blazing fast.

How many additional sata connections are available inside the computer on the motherboard to add additional hard drives?

I never actually received this. I cancelled my order. But to find out this info I usually go to the Acer web site and look the model. They usually will list specifics like what motherboard is included. Good luck

Do you have any with a bit more memory?  If not, how do I add more myself?

The system comes with a single stick of 8GB DDR3. There are 3 more slots that you can use for RAM. You will want to try and buy the same model of ram for the other slots.

RAM installation is VERY easy. 
Always have the system powered down and unplugged when working on it!
Remove the side panel and lay the tower on its side.
There are two tabs that hold the RAM in place. (long skinny slots)
The RAM slots are colored in pairs - choose the open slot that matches color with your filled slot if you are added a single stick.
Push the tabs open.
Line up the RAM - there is a little notch that will only allow you to plug it in one way.
Press the RAM into the slot until it clicks into place - apply pressure evenly across the whole stick.
The amount of pressure may cause the motherboard to bend slightly and it always makes me a little nervous.
Close both tabs all the way to hold the RAM in place - if the tabs don't close, the RAM isn't securely in the slot.

Out of the box, how many independent displays can this computer support?
