Question 1

Do it have win 8 pre installed or do you have to do it all from the Bottom (with pre installed i mean that you just have to do the personal stuff such as making a password and a username)?

Windows 8 comes pre-installed. Your username and password are taken from your Microsoft account I believe (that you can make if you do not have one).

Question 2

How is the overall cooling/airflow on this beast?  I have no interest in OC'ing or anything, as I'm not looking for Hal 9000 power, but how's the cooling on this in terms of run of the mill?  Also, how much of a pain would it be for me to format and install my copy of Windows 7 on here? I've not heard good things about 8.

The tower is ventilated on the sides and in the back as well as having a fan. The computer in and of itself does not run very hot and I havent had any cooling issues with it coming stock. There is the ability to add additional fans if you chose as well.

I felt the same way about windows 8 and was prepared to do the same with my windows 7 as well, however, microsoft offers a free upgrade to windows 8.1 through their app store so I decided to see how much was improved. As OS's often require some getting used to I found the 8.1 upgrade to be much more user friendly than 8. Like most things the comparison between 8.1 and 7 is well there are advantages and disadvantages to both, again, once you get used to the changes from the new os layout. 8.1 is much better than 8. I would recommend first getting the free upg to 8.1 just to try it out and see if you like it better, and if not, you can go back to 7 with a hardrive format and a boot from disc, usb etc. From my experience so far the 8.1 to 7 is preference.  If I do run into difficulties with 8.1, my win7 install is ready and willing!

Question 3

Anyone have trouble with the display port not working?  Mine won't detect displays

Well what type of cable are you using? Does your monitor have a dvi port? When I received my desktop I had to order a dvi-d cable because you obviously can't connect with a vga cable since it sealed. Then once I got the right cable I connect it to the monitor and turned off and on the monitor. Then it worked.

can this run farcry 3 assasins creed IV battlefield 4 League of legends and sid meiers civilizations V?

I for a fact know that it can run battlefield 4 at ultra no problem amd i play league of legends on this with a stelar 300 fps but i do not know about the others bevause i have yet to play them

does this have a recovery partition built into the computer so that you can just restore it if it gets corrupt or do you have to make disks and reinstall everything? i LOVE computers with that recovery partition already built in!!

IT'S the kind where all you have to do is shut the computer off and while it's rebooting you press an "f" button and it automatically restores your computer back to brand new like when you bought it, right? i have an hp pavilion right now, and that's all i had to do when my hard drive/windows got messed up, it is sooooo nice rather than having to restore all those recovery discs, i think it's way faster to get back up and going when you have that recovery partition.

does it come with a recovering disk and a hdmi cable?

No Cable comes with it. Just order one from Newegg when you order the computer, and you make your own recovery disc as soon as you set it up. Do this first before you add any of your own programs that way you have a pure re-install disc. Got mine for Christmas and love it. I couldnt have built a machine this powerful for the price I got this for. So far am 100% happy with the machine. Now windows 8 that comes with it is great but as soon as I updated to 8.1 all of the Metro tiles stopped working. Tried a dozen "fixes" so far and had Microsft techs in but still no tiles. They suggested returning it to vendor but I know it is Windows problem as I researched it and saw over 50,000 unique individual complaints about this  so I will await a fix and just use the regular desktop for now. Microsoft store (which no longer works either) is kinda bony still anyways so I might not be missing much. Overall I give it 5 Stars cuz such a deal! Newegg rocks!

How upgradeable is this computer? Can I upgrade the graphics card say 2 years in the future or put in more RAM?

I upgraded the ram myself, taking out the 2 stock 4mb chups and replacing them with 4 8mb chips. Just got to be careful there isnt too much housing on the ram. There's not a lot of room for #3 and #4, as they are slotted right next to the cpu fan. As for the video card, I cant say for sure, but would assume it should be possible. Overall, the setup is tight inside though. The new video card would have to be measured carefully

i dont know much about computers and have been hesitant to upgrade my poor laptop that runs games (barely) on the lowest settings for some time. My main game is WoW. Am I going to be able to run WoW on the highest settings AND be able to stream gaameplay online without any problems with this build?

Honestly I dont know much about computers either BUT this machine is pretty awesome. I can run Skyrim on the max settings with graphic boosting mods at good FPS, Titanfall on medium to high settings at a smooth 30 FPS and The Witcher 2, an extremely taxing game, on Medium settings at around 30 FPS. Therefore, Im pretty sure it could run WoW on the highest settings and could probably stream too but I dont know much about streaming or how it taxes the CPU.

Can this PC play elder scrolls online on ultra or high settings? If so which of the 2?

I is my sons computer and it is an awesome machine he plays most of his game set at ultra including elder scrolls online , and dark souls . you can't go wrong with this computer

Hows it run? i'm looking to buy a desktop that can run dayz on at least minimum. and minecraft with allot of mods. and maybe battlefield.

It runs really well. I was able to play the Titanfall beta on Medium settings on it with it running really smooth. I'm able to run Skyrim with lots of texture and shadow mods on it on the highest settings and can run pretty much any game i have, like Fallout NV, Burnout Paradise, and Batman Arkham City on the max settings with it running really smoothly. Im sure it would be able to run DayZ and Minecraft. I don't play either of those games though (even though I want DayZ).
