Question 1

I have an older computer that doesn't have DVI or HDMI connections on my video card. I have VGA connect. I want a new monitor that has a larger screen, better resolution, and all. I want a monitor that can be capable of working with a new computer when I save the money to buy one. This monitor has VGA and DVI connections. So is DVI a good fast connector or would I want HDMI?

DVI is as good as HDMI and will give a virtually identical display.  I personally have not tested the VGA connect on this monitor, although I have tried using the VGA connect on another similar monitor that also had HDMI and DVI inputs.  On that monitor, when using the VGA connect I was still able to display at full 1920x1080 resolution, however I had clock and phase issues (google "monitor calibration" and goto clock and phase test).  This was completely resolved after switching to the DVI or HDMI input.  The advantage of HDMI is that it is an audio cable too, so you can play sound out of builtin tiny (imo worthless) monitor speakers.

Can monitor be mounted on monitor arms?

What are the  6 buttons under the bottom right hand corner of this monitor for ?  I know the 1st one on the rt is to turn it on.
