You need to use a dual link DVI-D cable, then change the settings in your display settings. The correct cable came with the monitor.

No it doesn't have built-in speakers but it does have a 3.5mm Aux port on the back to use your own speakers. I should also mention that the aux port only works on the HDMI Input. If you want to hook up a console to the monitor I would recommend getting a Bluetooth speaker that has aux support and keep it plugged in at all times so the battery never dies on you.

Will a GTX 1060 run this baby?

It's not so much as can the 100 drive this monitor, but more of can the 1060 supply 144FPS in games. To that I say: It depends. 
Depending on title, you could have a great time getting that 144 sweetness. League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive are guaranteed to run at 144, unless another component is bottlenecking your rig (speaking from experience). 
Other games, like DiRT Rally, will run over 80 FPS all max, reaching 144 if settings are tweaked a bit. Same goes to any demanding title. Hell, I'm still having issues getting GTA V and Battlefield 1 to run at over 100FPS with setting cranked to the max. That being said, with some trial-and-error settings changes, you'll find that sweet spot of high FPS and visual detail.
As for the physical inputs, yes, the 1060 has DVI, Display Port, and HDMI (depending on model) and this screen has DVI, HDMI, and VGA. For 144Hz you must use either a Dual-Link DVI cable (comes included with the monitor) or Display Port Cable, which this monitor does not support. You could get away with a DP from GPU>DVI on Monitor, but I never tested this personally, and so cannot vouch for it's performance. You will also need to select 144Hz in the nVidia control panel so your desktop can be super smooth as well. Once you go 144Hz, the rest just seems slow.

TL;DR - Depending on game, you may/may not get the 144FPS needed, further tweaking may be required. Use a DVI-Dual Link cable included with the monitor. Don't forget to select 144Hz refresh rate on the PC when you first plug it in and turn it on.

Has anyone bought this and had it come with dead pixels or a messed up screen?

I bought two. One came with only one stuck pixel, stuck green, barely noticeable. The other had no stuck pixels. Rather than deal with an RMA, I use the monitor with the stuck pixel as a secondary monitor. They both work flawlessly though, including 3D gaming.

i have not tried using the 3D feature on this monitor but unfortunately 3D glasses are not included in the box... sorry... the 144hz is super smooth and very noticeable even when using the cursor, but youll need a graphics card to utilize the 144hz the integrated cpu graphics will not let you go higher than 60hz well at least with the cpu i'm using, which is the i7 2700k

You need to buy the Nvidia 3d glasses which are pretty expensive. The whole 3d thing is pretty much a gimmick so I wouldn't bother investing in it, however, the monitor itself is worth it for the 144Hz and the 1080p

The ports on your graphics card need to support 144hz refresh rate.  This does not include HDMI 1.2.  You need a high quality Dual DVI Link cable.

Hello I had just bought this while it was on sale and went into the refresh rate settings in windows (Right clicking desktop -> Screen Resolution -> Advanced Settings) and it is capping it at 60hz. I am using an XFX R9 280x and a HDMI Cord to connect them both. Is my monitor faulty, or am I doing something wrong?

HDMI is capped at 60Hz, in order to access 120Hz and 144Hz settings you need a DVI-D cable.
