Pros: This is an awesome monitor , especially for the price.
BUT, arrived with consumer seal open and obvious opened box. Hooked it up anyway to check and yep , blob of dead pixels.
I probably could live with one or maybe 2 but you can see it all the way across a 12' room!
I hope Acer can reach out because new egg only offered refund not replacement. not because of pixels but the fact i may have not got a new unit.
Cons: People are complaining about stand, I'm 5'7" with a slightly higher desk than normal and chair adjusted so feet just touch ground, Monitor center is even with my eyes which seems perfect to me.
Seems like a dice shoot on dead pixels.
Overall Review: would highly recommend this if not for dead pixels
1440p for $200
75hz is a small but noticeable upgrade over 60
no dead pixels
Cons: Vesa mount is at the very top
Was only able to overclock +1hz to 76
speakers aren't great but who uses those anyways
Overall Review: I am running this with a GTX 1070 and it has been working well. The picture quality is good. There is some very minor issues with coloration in the dark at the corners, but it is not very noticeable at all under normal circumstances.
With the newest NVIDIA drivers, the monitor has had no issues with G-SYNC either. I am able to run GSYNC at 75hz without any flickering or any other issues. I tried overclocking the monitor and was only able to get 76hz. 77hz would not register.
The only downside is that VESA mount is unusually high, especially for such a large monitor. With my mount the bottom of the monitor barely sits above the desk.
Pros: IPS is so much nicer to look at than my older TN panel.
10-bit panel according to my computer, only with DP, HDMI only shows 8-bit (Can't see any obvious difference).
Response time is good enough, compared to my 144HZ 1MS TN it really doesn't seem to be performing any worse.
Cons: Speakers are nothing special but if you like sound, use externals - No eggs should be taken for poor audio, speakers on a monitor are a bonus, not required.
Vesa is awkward, I don't think I'm gonna try to mount it.
Overall Review: Main reason I'm bothering to write is I had issues with Screen Flashing using an RX 580, seems to be an under voltage issue, used Wattman to raise the lowest power state just a bit and solved the problem. Solved that about a week ago and it's been pretty much perfect. Hope this helps someone.
Pros: Beautiful, perfect display
No dead pixels
NO eyestrain, can work 12 hrs with no issues, I reduced blue light
Utility to control most features on monitor
$200 price, next day arrival.
Cons: None really. I don't care about the Audio (who should with a monitor, good speakers are cheap).
I don't need USB but I'm glad it is missing because it keeps the cost down.
Overall Review: I bought 2 of these and they are perfect for what I need, software dev and long hours of working with text. 4K would have to be 42" to have this text size without scaling. I would rather just have two monitors. I came from older Dell u2410fs and they are pretty good but hard on your eyes. I stuck one in portrait at the end for some infrequently used apps.
My experience with ACER monitors is that they last a very long time. I have one on another PC that is 10 years old and still fine.
Pros: - Amazing color reproduction: I set this baby to sRGB and wow, this display makes everything look so much better than my previous monitor. Color accuracy I imagine is pretty, well, accurate. I play games and watch movies in this mode.
- Great contrast: Whites look super bright and blacks are very deep, it's perfect.
- Low input lag: Every game responds almost immediately to my inputs. My previous monitor had a lot more input lag and while it didn't make games unplayable, this new monitor makes them feel much more responsive which I like.
Cons: - DEAD PIXELS!!! My display came with one small dead pixel on the right side, and one big one in the middle. I imagine the middle one are four dead pixels put together making one very noticeable black dot. The other one is small and hardly noticeable unless the display is completely white, but it's there.
Overall Review: I wouldn't recommend this display unless you don't mind having dead pixels, which it seems many who bought it are going through the same problems and are returning it. I'll have to do the same which is a shame because this is a really amazing display.
Pros: - Super sharp crisp display
- 2k is definitely the max you want to go on 32in displays
- Nice bonus to have speakers on the monitor
- Has a blue light reduction mode which I've found definitely helps with eye strain.
Overall Review: I bought two of these monitors for work and have them mounted to my height adjustable desk on some arms. People consistently walk into my office and are blown away by how nice they look. Text looks super crisp and at 2k very readable. I had seen 4k 32in monitors and the text / icons were so small you had to scale the output to make everything readable. To me that defeats the purpose a 4k monitor. 2k for a 32in monitor is the correct resolution. I have two large spreadsheets open side by side on one screen which is really great. Watch for these to go on sale...I got my for $200 a piece.
Pros: The item shipped with the stand included, but not mounted to the monitor which was nice for me because I had no intention of using it and didn't have to take the time to remove it. It also came with a DP cable, so I didn't have to go out and buy one which was nice. Also came with a VGA, but I have an excess of those at this point.
Cons: None at this time. The interface to change things took me a minute to figure out, but that was more user error.
Overall Review: The item is exactly as expected. I'm using this as an extra monitor for work at home. Very clear and easy on the eyes. Good brightness. Doesn't weigh much, so I didn't have to upgrade/change the desk mount I was using with my previous Acer 24". The box the monitor is shipped in is needlessly huge, but obviously the product is well protected in there.
Pros: - Great price, if you get extra discount 1st digit was 1xx dollar.
- very clear and bright
- VESA mount (100mm x 100mm, i think)
- stereo speaker (not that great but better than laptop speakers)
Cons: - VESA mount is on upper part of the monitor, which means your monitor stays lower than what you think with the VESA mount
- limited port, only 1 HDMI
