Good panel, poor QC 2/16/2020 11:03:14 AM

Pros: 10-bit
75hz
Big
Bright

Cons: Quality Control
No swivel or height adjust

Overall Review: I thought I saw dead pixels on the first monitor I got and returned it. When the second also had similar issues I was mad until I tapped vigorously on the top of the monitor. The “dead pixels” suddenly fell and I realized it was dust behind the first layer of the screen. All is good and everything looks great now, but -2 eggs for this

Great budget gaming monitor 1/29/2020 5:17:55 PM

Pros: -Big 32" 1440p screen.
-Solid base - monitor does not shake.
-Comes with a DisplayPort & a VGA cable - most monitors only come with a VGA cable.
-No dead pixels - as tested by DeadPixelBuddy.
-Screen tilts - most monitors have no angle adjustment at all.
-VESA mountable - if you need it.
-Comes packed in a huge box - less chance of damage during transit.
-Base already attached - no assembly required, true plug and play.
-No annoying power-on indicator on the front bezel, shining in your eyes - it's tucked discretely underneath the lower right corner.

Cons: -Shows slight light bleeding in lower left corner during DeadPixelBuddy's black screen test. As I understand it, some light bleeding can be expected from just about any IPS monitor; that's just the nature of IPS.
-75 Hz only works with AMD FreeStink video cards, not the NVIDIA GTX 1070 that I installed.
-Speakers are nominal - they might be okay for listening to the news but that's about it.
-Too bad it doesn't come in white.
Update: NVIDIA updated its drivers and most of their modern graphics cards support FreeSync now.

Overall Review: -Bought this for my daughter's PC which I upgraded with a GTX 1070 semi-recently. Cranked "Monster Hunter" up to 1440p and it showed a big improvement over her previous 32" 1080p monitor. Unfortunately, she had to crank it back down to 1080p because 1440p maxed out her Core i5 3570K and game motion stuttered. Time for another upgrade. $$$
-The included DisplayPort cable is nice because it leaves the HDMI port available to connect her Nintendo Switch.
-The screen tilt feature came in handy because my daughter is short and a slight downward tilt is ideal for her.
-I thought they had accidentally sent me 2 monitors because the box was about twice as deep (12 3/8") as a regular box for a 32" monitor. I suppose this is mainly because the base is already attached.
-So far my daughter (who is a college art student) loves it: no complaints about lag or color accuracy.

Dead and stuck pixels after 2 months 1/8/2020 9:50:50 AM

Pros: - Huge
- Decent price
- 2k is slightly better looking than 1080p

Cons: - I have 2 dead pixels right in the center of the screen and I've had it less than 2 months. Now it's too late to send back to Newegg so if I want it fixed I have to pay to send it to Acer.
- It constantly gets stuck pixels. Unlike black dead pixels, these can be fixed with various screen tools but I've never had this problem with a monitor before.
- Screen brightness is uneven, in dark games the corners of the screen are lighter and washed out. It looks horrible in dark games.

Overall Review: Spend more money and get a decent monitor, this one is subpar and the quality control is obviously terrible. Wish I had listened to the reviews.

Displayport failed after 4 months of light use 1/5/2020 5:56:06 PM

Pros: - resolution
- price
- no dead pixels
- freesync

Cons: - dead Displayport after 4 months of light use

Overall Review: I didn't bother with the built-in speakers so I can't say anything about the quality of them. I also didn't bother with the stand since I mounted it to my wall.

Wouldn't recommend as the Displayport died after 4 months after light use. Light use being using this monitor as an overhead on the rare occasion I needed three monitors at once. The monitor was in sleep mode most of the time.

I made sure that it was the port on the monitor that went bad. HDMI still works. Displayport works on GPU on multiple different ports with different cables and monitors. Even bought a whole new cable just in case the included Displayport cable went bad.

Good image, potential QC issue with DP input though 12/26/2019 8:40:26 AM

Pros: Have had monitor for 2 months. No problems with image or pixels like others have posted about.

Cons: The DP input is wonky.
Experiencing intermittent problems with the monitor linking up with the PC when it starts up.

Using a DP cable (and yes I have swapped it out for two others cables, problem is not the cable), with the monitor powered up before I start the PC. More than half the time the monitor does not recognize the input signal/handshake from the PC.

I swapped in an old monitor, same DP cable, and the old one links every time the PC is booted up.

Overall Review: Fix the input issue and good for 5 eggs. Having to wait & run blind on half the bootups knocks it down a couple pegs

Great value. ++++ 9 MONTH UPDATE! 12/16/2019 5:47:21 PM

Pros: everything was great until the lack of quality caught up to me.

Cons: Speakers aren't all great(but who cares about monitor speakers?)

DP NO WORKO

Overall Review: Owned the monitor for 6 months until I noticed the display port stopped working. Don't make the same mistake I made. You are saving money at the cost of quality control and reliability. I have opened a warranty claim and will update if this works out but I do not have hope from what I have heard.

Initial Problems w/ Mac Pro now solved. 12/3/2019 10:16:10 AM

Pros: I wanted a bigger screen w/ more resolution so I picked this up on pre-black Friday. Discovered (didn't read carefully enough) that there's no DVI input. I got a DVI - HDMI adapter locally & it worked but the fine print was unreadable. Turns out the card I have (flashed nVidia gt 640 ) has two DVI's & only #2 supports HDMI / DP. Fixed! Except print at highest res was still bad. I got a Display Port cable mini DP to DP) & that solved the problem. So either the local cable wasn't up to snuff or the card just doesn't play nice w/ HDMI at high resolution. I suspect the latter, but that only applies to this card & machine (got this card because OS 10.14 & later on 10.15 won't support non metal cards, whatever that is. :)
Very happy now.

Cons: Getting at the bottom to mount cables is a bit of a pain w/ a monitor this big, but it looks like that's where everybody puts them now (I don't buy new stuff very often). Other than that, the adjustments in back take getting used to.
The manual is very sparse & not much help.
No other problems.

Overall Review: I'm not using it for anything very demanding, but it seems to be a great monitor, & I shopped for quite a while looking for the most bang for the buck.
Recommended.

Good price, decent specs, potential QC issues 12/2/2019 2:53:38 PM

Pros: * 1440p @ 32" is the same pixel density as 1080p @ 24".
* Going from 8-bit color to 10-bit color was a noticeable improvement in games.
* Haven't been able to spot a single dead or stuck pixel.
* Center stand prevents any wobble and looks fantastic.
* Internal PSU makes for easier and cleaner cable management.

Cons: * Not a true 10-bit panel (8-bit + FRC).
* No HDR support (although HDR support in Windows 10 isn't great anyway).
* No height adjust, pivot, or swivel. Only tilt.
* Button placement behind the panel makes navigating the OSD a bit of a pain.

Overall Review: After several months of use, there's an audible buzzing sound emitting from the monitor that gets louder with increased brightness. I'm not sure if I just got unlucky with my panel or if this is a genuine quality control issue, but I can only review my experience.
