Is this monitor 3d vision ready?

well it says right on the box that it is nvidia 3d vision so I would think it is 3d ready! it also says it on the overview. just need the 3d wireless glasses kit and 3d lightboost.

Question 2

Outside of gaming I need a monitor that will pivot at least 90 degrees.  No specs specifically state this yet.  Will this monitor pivot 90 degrees?

There's no pivot. The stand raises and lowers but has no side-to-side motion. It's not all hard to turn the monitor and I guess you could put it on a lazy-susan or the like if you wanted to, but the stand doesn't do what you were asking about.

Question 3

I don't want to upgrade my video cards at the moment I have EVGA e-GeForce GTX 465 super clocked SLI so what I need to know if I get a DVI to Displayport adapter will I reap the full benefits of this monitor or will I lose something in the translation so to speak??? Thanks much!

Hi William,

The only reason to get this monitor is for the gsync.  Only 650ti cards and higher support it. I went to a 970 and it owns for the price but i know the 700 series have dropped off significantly in price.

if you like your rig go with a normal 144hz

other then that wait, then new card then gsync

One other warning is this monitor has a bit of light bleed. not a big deal in games i play at all, except for Elite Dangerous, Space is black most of the time :)

I have AMD R9 290X Video cards (2 in Crossfire)

Will this monitor have issues with AMD drivers?

As the others have said, this monitor will function as a standard 144Hz ULMB monitor with an AMD video card.  You will not be able to use G-Sync unless you have an Nvidia GTX600 series or higher video card.  Everything else will function normally with and AMD card.

Unless you plan to purchase Nvidia cards in the future, you would be better served with a less expensive monitor that supports ULMB since you pay a premium for the G-Sync module on this monitor.

Can I use an Elgato HD60 pro when the monitor only has one input?

You can not use this display monitor with your HD60 pro since your card has hdmi output this monitor only has DSP (display port) it does not have HDMI input. You can sill use it just for your computer if it has a Nvidia Card that supports G-sync and have your HD60 pro output hooked to your TV with HDMI input... or get another cheap monitor with HDMI input then  you will have two monitors. One for your computer hooked up to this ACER and your HD60 pro hooked up to the other monitor by HDMI...

I purchased this monitor and i noticed the screen is off to the right, my old monitor had a self adjust and auto adjust screen setting where i can move the screen or let it auto on its own.
This monitor doesnt and was wondering if im missing something? if not im returning this.

If the "screen is off to the right" in software (the picture) then maybe your monitor is set to a different frequency than your OS. This monitor does many frequencies, usually software automatically changes the monitor setting but it is possible for them to get out of sync. If your monitor has a frequency faster than your GPU can keep up with you'd probably have part of the screen cut off.

Has anyone tried running SLI + GSYNC? Is there any issues with fps lag or stuttering under SLI?

No lag or stutter issues at all in games.  Borderlands, World of Warcraft, Civilization Beyond Earth, etc, all looked and played very fluid.  I've been using SLI for quite a while and noticed no penalty for using G-Sync.  Quite the opposite for me, since I used to have to keep v-sync on to avoid screen tearing with my SLI setup, which introduced some input lag when I dropped below max refresh of the monitor.  That lag is gone with G-Sync on.

Contrast ratio of 1000:1 seems bad. How's the picture quality?

I agree with Robert, although, I was almost persuaded by others that 1080p at 27" is no good. It is good and I see no scaling issues with windows. The contrast is great as well, I used windows calibration tool to adjust the screen and really didn't need it since the screen already showed what they recommended in terms of adjusting sliders and what not. Do not believe the hype, 1080p at 27" is great and i'm enjoying it to the fullest.

if i get a HEMI to displayport for my xbox one and ps4 will this work (i have a gaming pc with GTX 970 so i know i will be using G-sync on that ) i know this sounds dumb but this is not avg screen hardware inside?

This is a standard display, but you are paying more for GSync which will not be used with an XBox or PS4. So unless you plan to dual-use this with those systems, and a recent Nvidia GPU in a PC, you will want some other monitor.

i was just wondering if any one here that has this monitor had this issue. I just received mine the other day. I also installed new EVGA 970 FTW+. I didnt install any CD driver disc that came with monitor (if any). I just plugged it in. I did download from the web the newest drivers for the Video card. So i plug the keyboard and mouse into my monitor, but now when the computer turns off monitor after 10 minutes (power saving setting) or PC goes to sleep mode my keyboard or mouse cannot wake the PC. Do any of you experience this? (lights are off on my keyboard and mouse when the PC sleeps. Should i install the disc that came with monitor (if it came with one, i dont remember if it did)?

There is an option to disable the monitor from turning off the usb ports built in, in the menu of the monitor itself. I had this issue for a while until I found that.
