Guitar Hero III breaks from the pack with its new wireless guitar controller modeled after the Gibson Les Paul. Faithfully designed after the original, it feels just like the real thing and offers other design features which set it apart from other guitar controllers.
Not only have they cut the cord, but the button layout has been improved for ease of playability. The improved fret buttons feature a new design and a longer strum bar allows more intense gameplay. The responsive whammy bar lets you access in-game abilities and sound effects. The Wii remote fits into the back of the controller and senses the guitar's position as well as providing rumble feedback as well as extra audio effects. You can freely access the remote while it's installed through the removable faceplate which allows owners to customize their controller. And, after the last encore has faded, the detachable neck makes it a simple matter to pack the guitar away or to take your act on the road.
Without the cord, you can get fully into your rockin' experience from up to 30 feet away from the console using 2.4GHz wireless technology. Auto sleep mode saves your power and the AA batteries provide many hours of power chords.
