Swing your way through Manhattan in ten unique, non-linear storylines have you battling foes from the movie and the comic books as well as a game-specific set of foes. The large, sandbox-style game area is over twice as big as that from the previous Spider-Man 2 and it is not only beautifully rendered in hi-definition, it is filled with content. The in-game map lets you select missions based on mini-games, story missions or crime-fighting missions.
Contextual mini-games provide detailed action that has Spidey flipping through a laser maze, disarming a bomb or base-jumping off the side of the Empire State Building. Crime-fighting missions are now more important – and have more depth – as you clear the streets from gang control and boost your status as a hero which allows you to unlock more abilities.
Locate the trouble using your Spider-sense and dodge blows using Matrix-style spider-reflexes. Along with the Sandman and New Goblin, and Kraven the Hunter, the Lizard and Scorpion among others from the comics, Spider-Man must face what he becomes when he accepts the powers of the black suit which provides extra benefits as well as a devastating rage mode. Actors from the film provide their voice talents and the cinematic score puts you in the movie as the new combat control system lets you feel what its like to be the Amazing Spider-Man.
Starring Tobey McGuire and Kirsten Dunst as Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson, respectively, Spider-Man 3 is Activision's sequel to Spider-Man 2 and is exclusively based off of Sony Pictures' film of the same name.
