Yes, but the hole is very small. Best if using a string.

Also, the end-cap clicks onto the back of the drive. If a string is looped through the hole, the cap can't seat on to the back.

Yes. USB is backwards and forward compatible across all generations.

Yes.  You can plug any USB3 device into any USB port and it will work.  Transfer speeds will just be reduced to the speed of the older technology.

Yes, there is a tiny hole on the back of the end, behind the "Pro" label; none of the available images shows it from the back angle.  You should be able to poke a thread or very thin, flexible string/rubber band/similar material through, but I doubt you could slip it onto a metal keyring.
