Question 1

One ADATA XPG V1.0 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 memory came with a GIGABYTE GA-F2A55M-DS2 FM2 AMD A55 MOBO. The MOBO has 2 memory slots and supports dual channel. Could I put a second memory stick (ADATA XPG V1.0 4GB 240-Pin DDR3) or would I need to buy memory that specifically is built for dual channel?

There is no such thing.  The twin packs you see for dual channel are simply guaranteed to be identical modules in all the relevant specifications necessary for the system to utilize the board's dual-channel capability.  If you buy two separate modules, even from the same module manufacturer, they are not necessarily identical.  The chips on the modules could have come from different chip manufactures, and have slightly different latencies.  So, even though the module-maker's part numbers are the same and the capacities are the same, they may not be the same in ALL the necessary respects.  Match the latencies and capacities, regardless of module manufacturer, and I think you should be fine.  You can simply do trial and error, also.  If you insert it, and the system doesn't indicate dual channel, then try another module.

How do I know this is the right one?

This module is type DDR3/PC3. Your main board (motherboard) must be able to take it--it will not physically plug into main boards that take DDR2/PC2, DDR/PC, etc. If your system takes DDR3/PC3, then this module will be able to automatically slow itself to the maximum speed your main board can handle. (This assumes you remove all of the older RAM. If you leave some of the older RAM in your system and simply add this module to that (which assumes your main board has an empty slot available, or that you remove one of the existing modules if multiple), this module will be able to automatically slow itself to match the older RAM module's top speed (all modules' main operating speed must be able to match the others', unless things have changed in recent years). There may be a sticker identifying the type of RAM on an existing module.

To determine what type of RAM and the maximum capacities your system can support:  1) If you bought your system as a pre-built system, go to the manufacturing company's site's support pages, or go to any major RAM manufacturer's site or RAM reseller's site, and input your system's make and model into their configuration tool, and it will provide you your options (I like Crucial's site for this, but since this module is from ADATA, maybe use their site). 2) If using Windows, go to "Control Panel" and then find system information--you should be able to find at least the type of RAM you have from there. 3) If using Windows, download and install Topala's "System Information for Windows" tool from his site (search for it). It will tell you virtually anything and everything you want to know about your system to a high degree of accuracy. 4) If you built your own system, go to the main-board manufacture's site, or many RAM manufacturer's sites, and input the make and model of the board, which should be stamped somewhere on the main board, if you don't have the original packaging.

is this comp. with el1360g-uw12p acer/emachine desktop?

I'm not sure-  you would have to confirm with the manufacturer.  Most of the time you can just confirm that it is DDR3  and the PIN count.  Then confirm the max ram that your desktop will handle.  You can also use a site like memoryx dot com to confirm what memory will work for your system
