Pros: I knew from reading the reviews and spec's this is a loud fan that produces a lot of air flow.
A). I did not realize how much air - Very Impressive CG!
B). This amazing fan sounds like a vacuum cleaning. I can hear it it the next room.
C). I am now replacing these for lower decibel fans - My Bad Totally. It does exactly what it says (aside from the decibels are greater than listed!), so not taking any egg's away.
Cons: The noise, (that I saw in the spec's and review), do not tell the tale of real life. It is a very smooth sound, but WOW - SO blaring loud. Loud as my vacuum cleaner - seriously! Can hear it from other rooms in the house. I used a decibel meter it it came out to mid 60's to high 70's, not 40'ish as listed.
Pros: Moves a ton of air. I replaced the standard fan in my synology DS408 and this is moving much more air!
Cons: Weird noise. Watch the video.
Overall Review: These issues could be because I installed it in my Synology DS408 NAS device. It might be fine in a computer.
Pros: This fan blows..... no really it does moves more air then even 120's can. i can hear it like others have said but it doesn't annoy me in anyway and if it it does then buy a fan controller so that you can turn it down when your not gaming.
Cons: in my eyes none
Pros: They move AIR!! They are also hilariously loud. I got three and i can hear my computer anywhere in my two story house when they are full blast. They look nice, there is plenty of wire.
Cons: No cons for me but you should know that you are buying a 4000 rpm fan. That is going to make a little noise.
Overall Review: I have these fans plugged into the mobo so that i can control the speed thru speedfan. I usually keep them around 40% and they still do their job.
Pros: I've had this case fan in the window of my case since March of 2006.
I've been through three different motherboard/CPU combos in that case since. I'm writing this In February of 2012 and the fan still spins as well as it did the day I bought it. Still super quiet too.
Cons: Can't think of any.
Overall Review: Best 80mm fan around for the price.
Pros: Great fan all around, Includes Molex adapter and self tapping screws, Color scheme for the fan is nice and there is no need for LEDs.
Overall Review: I installed four of these fans installed: 2 running on maximum speed and 2 running via the motherboard. At full blast the noise is extremely bearable unlike what others may say.
Pros: Awsome fan for the money, installed into I-star server case, really moves the air through. It is loud but not any louder than the rest of the case. Works so well, i'm replacing the stock fan in the case with another one of these.
Overall Review: Great Fan, if you don't like the noise, don't buy it. I rather have something that actively cools than something that is quiet and doesn't do anything.
Pros: Does the job, moves more air than the original fan on the cpu heatsink, and cooling
Cons: while it isn't an issue (yet) the housing seems considerably flexible
Overall Review: Yes, it's noisy, but i don't hear anything out of the tower from this fan itself, it's the 92mm pushing roughly the same cfm out the back of the tower (60cfm). with this fan, a TR2-M12 heat sink, and some quality heat sink compound, i'm currently keeping a 3.0E prescott at reasonable temps.
