OS says "Steam OS" can you run regular Windows 10?

Your can run Windows 10, but my version has a bios bug that prevents restarting it without holding the power button for a minute. Perhaps they have fixed it now...

What type of SSD can I buy for this?

Any sort of standard 2.5 inch SSD will fit in the alienware.  There are no open slots for something like m.2.  I have an SSD in mine and it flies. Good luck.

Is this mountable to a monitor?

If the question is about whether you can attach to the monitor via a VESA mount, the answer is no.  There are some smaller desktops which you can do that with, but this is bigger than would work for that purpose.

can it run higher end game like arma 3 on ultra graphics around or over 60fps?

See my reply about the GPU specs. (TL;DR GTX860M equivalent)  I would say no.  Not many modern 3D games will run at 1080p resolution 60 FPS on that card - I have a better one in my gaming laptop and it can't.

What NIVIDIA GeForce GTX???? Pretty sure there's more than one and it makes a big difference when competing with Zotac's solid steam box.
