Can you upgrade to 8gb RAM later?

Yes. My unit came with a 4GB Samsung DDR3 DO-DIMM(laptop type) memory in 1 of 2 DO-DIMM slots. The other slot was empty. So empty slot will accept either 4GB or 8GB DDR3 DO-DIMM for a total of 8GB or 12GB of RAM. I ended up pulling out the 4GB Samsung and putting in two 8GB DO-DIMM, so it had a total of 16GB of RAM.

The GPU is listed as "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2 GB GDDR5". But what model GPU is it?

It has a GTX 860M, originally designed for laptop computers. So basically it's the mobile version of the GTX 750Ti that you find on graphic cards for desktop computers.
