The Alphacool Eiszapfen 13mm G1/4 HardTube Knurled Compression Fitting - Black is a compression fitting for 13 mm hard tube with a G1/4 external thread, one fitting per pack. Alphacool's model name is HardTube Socket 13mm: one side of this connector has a ¼" external screw thread, and the other side fits HardTubes with an external diameter of 13mm.

The Eiszapfen series

Alphacool's Eiszapfen Connector Series is, in its maker's words, the high-end execution of these tried-and-true connectors. Alphacool says every requirement you could have of a connector is met with this series: highflow, form, processing and color. It credits a refusal to compromise in development and production for what has made the series into what it is. Components are available in brilliant chrome or a deep, matte black, and Alphacool says either will fit excellently into any system.

Coating and logo

Alphacool says a special procedure binds the outer coating firmly to the surface, improving the longevity of the intense color and preventing any chipping or peeling of the coating. Every connector now has the Alphacool logo, which Alphacool says makes them unmistakable along with their distinctive shape.

How it holds the tube

On this fitting the connecting nut's slanted corners allow the O-ring to be pressed firmly against the HardTube, ensuring the tube sits even more securely than before. Alphacool says this allows for greater safety in transport.

Colored O-rings

Anyone looking for colorful options has them: Alphacool says the O-rings in the shipment come in three colors. With the available UV-light option, these O-rings will even light up in the corresponding color.

What a run needs

The fitting takes acrylic or brass tube with a 13 mm outer diameter, and screws into any G1/4 port. A tube run takes two fittings, one at each end.

Notes

• Alphacool's note on application: use only in conjunction with clear transparent water cooling fluids.
• Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in Pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses.
