Alphacool Eisstation DC80 - AIO Power Unit (15388)

The Alphacool Eisstation DC80 - AIO Power Unit is a pre-filled reservoir with integrated pump top and a DC-LT 2 pump, 50.62 x 50.62 x 77 mm in size, on TPV hoses with quick-release connectors. It fulfills two important functions for Alphacool AIO systems. It can be used as a filling aid for all of them, or as a booster for more pump power when a loop is to be expanded with several components.

Structure

The unit consists of the Eisstation DC80, which is the reservoir and pump top in one black part, and a DC-LT 2 pump. Connected to this are two TPV hoses, each with a male and female quick-release connector at the end. Alphacool states that these quick connectors are compatible with all its AIO systems for graphics cards and processors, CPU and GPU alike.

Filling aid

If you want to refill your AIO system, connect it directly to the power unit via the existing quick-release fasteners, which Alphacool calls a simple and uncomplicated way. All that is needed to fill it is to open the large G1 screw plug. The integrated pump ensures sufficient pressure to pump the coolant into the AIO. Ideally, the AIO's own pump should only be run when there is already enough coolant in the system, which prevents it from running dry during the filling process.

Power Unit?

Adding several components to an Alphacool AIO can quickly lead to its existing DC-LT 2 pump reaching its performance limit. If the Power Unit is additionally integrated into the circuit, the additional pump provides more power to operate a larger loop.

Mounting

The scope of delivery includes a Velcro fastener that Alphacool describes as extremely adhesive, which allows positioning anywhere in the case. Alphacool's optionally available mounting accessories allow even more mounting options.

What the loop needs

Pump, coolant and hoses come with the unit, so it needs an Alphacool AIO with quick-release fasteners to connect to and a 3-pin fan connector for the pump. The coolant inside is clear.

Notes

• Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
