The Alphacool Core 140mm Fan PWM 2500rpm is a 140x140x25mm fan for radiators, CPU coolers and cases, with a control range from 0 to 2500 rpm over a 4-pin PWM connector. It is black and comes without aRGB lighting. The faster 140 mm version is the Core 140mm Fan PWM 3200rpm.

Radiator, CPU cooler or case fan

The fan is controlled via a PWM signal and is suitable as a fan on CPU coolers or radiators, though not only there. Alphacool calls its performance values (throughput & static pressure) excellent, and says that thanks to them it can also be used as a case fan. At maximum speed it allows the airflow listed above, paired with a static pressure which Alphacool rates as high. In Alphacool's words this makes the fan perfect for mounting on radiators of a water cooling system or for ventilating a case.

Double bearing

The double-bearing fan axis is smooth-running, on two ball bearings. Alphacool says this enables a long service life and quiet operation, and describes the fan as quiet and efficient with a wide control range. Connections

The cable is 40 cm long. That lets the fan be connected directly to the mainboard (motherboard) or to a special, dedicated controller, without using additional adapter cables or extensions. Controllers are in our fan controllers section.

Voltage and running data

Alphacool's technical specifications give a nominal voltage of DC 12V, a starting voltage of 7V and a rated capacity (power) of 4.8 W, 6.00 W at most. The material is plastic, and fan control runs via PWM. Life expectancy is 70000 hours at 40 degrees Celsius.
