The Alphacool Apex Thermal Pad Soft 18W/mk 120x20x1mm is one light gray, silicone-based thermal pad strip, 120 x 20 mm and 1.0 mm thick, with a thermal conductivity of 17.8 W/mK (±10%). It goes between a cooler and the electrical components it cools. The same strip comes 0.5 mm thick and 1.5 mm thick.

Alphacool offers a wide range of thermal pads to enable effective heat dissipation from electrical components, and calls the Apex the most powerful option among them. By its account the pad can reliably dissipate the waste heat. Alphacool describes it as ultrasoft, with optimal compressibility. Due to its low hardness and natural stickiness, Alphacool says, it can be perfectly adapted to surfaces and evens out unevenness between components.
