Alphacool Apex Stealth Metal Aurora Fan Matte Black 2600rpm - 120x120x25mm, 120mm, 4-Pin PWM, 3.35 mmH2O, 59.79 CFM, 36.4 dBA, 12V (13777)

The Alphacool Apex Stealth Metal Aurora Fan Matte Black 2600rpm is a 120 mm PWM fan with a metal frame and aRGB lighting, in matte black. It runs from 380 to 2600 RPM on a 4-Pin PWM connector and can be mounted on a radiator or used as a case fan.

Properties

• Size (L x W x H): 120 x 120 x 25.5 mm
• Speed: 380~2600±10% RPM, zero-RPM control
• Connection: 4-Pin PWM
• Airflow: 59.79 CFM
• Static pressure: 3.35 mmH2O
• Lighting: aRGB

Decoupled from the frame

The fan blades, the motor and its mounting are completely decoupled from the metal frame. Between that frame and the fan sits a special damping system, integrated to keep the two apart and, Alphacool says, absorbing all vibrations. Alphacool calls this type of decoupling a completely new, patent-pending technology, a system introduced by the company for the first time with the Apex fan. The impeller, a special rotor, features a closed frame of its own. Furthermore, Alphacool says this prevents impeller tip flutter at high speeds, further enhancing the fan's performance. The maker's word for the result is whisper-quiet, and it says the fan also remains exceptionally quiet at any speed.

Speed and control

The fan can be controlled between 380 and 2600 RPM via the 4-pin PWM connector. The starting speed is approximately 380 RPM. Below that, the fan features a zero-RPM control, allowing it to be brought to a complete standstill.

On a radiator or in the case

Alphacool calls the fan a true, powerful all-rounder and one of the most powerful fans available. In terms of airflow and static pressure, it says, this fan sets new standards. Therefore, in Alphacool's words, it's not only perfect for mounting on radiators but also ensures excellent airflow as a case fan.
