Alphacool Core RX 9070 XT Mercury with Backplate (10289)

The Alphacool Core RX 9070 XT Mercury with Backplate is a GPU water block for XFX Mercury AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics cards. Alphacool lists three of them: the OC Gaming Edition, the OC Magnetic Air Edition and the OC White Gaming Edition, each with RGB. It cools the card with a chrome-plated copper block under an acrylic top, and the aluminum backplate is in the box.

The cooler was built for one special PCB layout, and a card maker may revise its board slightly so that the block does not fit later models. Notes

• Alphacool asks that the block be used only with clear transparent water cooling fluids. It warns that the particles and additives in Pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products, whether a radiator, a pump, coolers or hoses, and that this can void the manufacturer's warranty.
• Take the original cooler off on an antistatic mat and clean thermal paste and pad residues from the card before the block goes on. The card's original IO shield and its screws are used again with the block. During assembly, make sure taller parts have enough space around them.
