Alphacool Eisdecke Laing DDC Top V2, Acetal, Black (13185)

The Alphacool Eisdecke Laing DDC Top - Acetal V.2 is an acetal pump top for the Laing DDC pump with five G1/4 threads: three inlets and two outlets. It measures 80 x 80 x 23 mm. The pump is not in the box.

The V.2 revisions

The tried and tested Laing DDC top has now been redesigned. Alphacool says it has been a benchmark for years, in which only small improvements have been made again and again. This first major update differs both visually and technically.

Technical details: pump, inlets and outlets

On the bottom there is space for the Laing DDC pump. The inlet and outlet are in the front or on top. For even more flexibility the Eisdecke gets three inlets and two outlets.

Holder and drive bay

Another feature is the new holder: two stands keeping the entire unit stable, with what Alphacool calls great looks. Optional installation in a 3.5" drive bay is still possible.

Reservoir conversion

The top can be converted to a complete reservoir by using an adapter, the expansion tank attachment, which has also been revised. That attachment is available as an accessory and is not in this box. The reservoir Alphacool makes for its Eisdecke tops is the Eisdecke DDC/D5 Single Reservoir.

LED holes

For all the Casemodder builds: in this top there are four holes for 5mm LEDs, which you find.

What the loop needs

The top needs a pump. Given five threads with one inlet and one outlet in use, two fittings go in and the other three threads take the three screw plugs in the box.

Notes

• After assembly a small gap remains between the pump and the cover. Alphacool says the O-ring still seals, so do not tighten the screws too tightly, as this can damage the cover.
• Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
