The Alphacool NexXxoS ST30 Full Copper X-Flow 420mm Radiator is a 420 mm radiator for three 140 mm fans, 30 mm thick, with two G1/4 connections. Water enters at one copper chamber and leaves at the opposite one. The thicker X-Flow radiator in the same fan size is the XT45 Full Copper X-Flow 420mm.

Full copper

Alphacool says the new NexXxoS radiators are the first to truly deserve the "Full copper" attribute. All main parts are made from copper: not only the fins and channels, but the chambers also. In Alphacool's view this brings an improvement in performance where other radiators are left without a chance.

X-Flow

In structure, the X-Flow radiators differentiate materially from the standard radiators, because they are designed for high flow rates. The beveled copper chambers on both sides have an identical structure. From one chamber the water goes jetting through all available channels at the same time to the other chamber, from which it then leaves the radiator.

Mounting

Versatile and easy mounting is one of the main points on which the research and development department at Alphacool focused. On the thicker radiators of this series the chamber offers three possibilities for fitting installation on both inlet and outlet, but not on the NexXxoS ST30. With three to choose from, less angled fittings are needed, improving flow rates and offering more mounting possibilities. Alphacool's current page puts it this way: on those radiators both copper chambers have three 1/4 inch threads, so connections can be attached on the top, bottom and at the front or back. This radiator is an ST30, with two G1/4 connections in all. Alphacool adds that even mounting and installation of fans and radiator grills is easy and versatile with these radiators. The M3 threads are standard in the radiator sector, and M3 screws are available in all lengths at an affordable price.

Screw protection

A screw that is too long is the dreaded mistake on any radiator. Here its insertion too far into the radiator does not result in expensive damage. Unlike other radiators, Alphacool says, the NexXxoS series is equipped with an internal protective ledge which stops the screw before it damages the fins.

What the loop needs

Two G1/4 connections, so the loop takes two G1/4 fittings. The radiator holds three 140 mm fans on its M3 fan thread.

Notes

• Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can also void the manufacturer's warranty.
