What they are for

Alphacool calls them the ideal supplement for cooling of these components, and says heatsinks such as this one are required for sufficient cooling. Each one absorbs the heat from the part under it and releases it into the surrounding air. As a result, lower temperatures and better overclocking performance can be achieved, according to Alphacool. Being made completely from aluminum, the heatsinks allow very efficient cooling of the cooled components, Alphacool says. A low height of only 15 mm allows installation even under large graphics card coolers. Alphacool also names the MOSFETs on the mainboard as a use.
