What it cools
Alphacool's performance thermal pad can be used to cool electronic components of all kinds, anywhere it is essential to effectively dissipate waste heat. Voltage converters and VRAMs on graphics cards are where it usually goes. In addition, electronic components of Playstation and Xbox game consoles can also be cooled, greatly improving their performance and durability according to Alphacool.
Better Than Standard Thermal Pads?
Alphacool says the Soft heat conduction pad is characterized by optimal compressibility. Due to its low hardness and a natural stickiness, the pad adapts perfectly to surfaces and compensates for unevenness between components, in Alphacool's words. The maker says this thus ensures a significant improvement in heat transfer.
Increased Service Life!
According to Alphacool, the special material composition reduces the risk of silicone bleeding. It adds that the pad can be used for a substantially longer period of time than conventional heat conduction pads without significantly losing performance.
Versatile Use!
The pad is electrically non-conductive, which Alphacool calls excellent electrical insulation. For that reason it lists more uses: electric vehicles, autopilot systems, cell phones, servers, motherboards, power supplies and LCD TVs. Notebooks, telecommunication devices, access points, memory modules, etc. are on the same list.
