Where it goes
Alphacool calls this its performance thermal pad. On graphics cards it covers the voltage converters and VRAMs. In addition, electronic components of Playstation and Xbox game consoles can also be cooled with it, greatly improving their performance and durability, according to Alphacool.
Better than standard thermal pads?
The Soft heat conduction pad is silicone-based and characterized by what Alphacool calls optimal compressibility. Due to its low hardness and a natural stickiness, it adapts to surfaces (perfectly, in Alphacool's words) and compensates for unevenness between components. Alphacool says this thus ensures a significant improvement in heat transfer. Its data sheet lists high thermal conductivity, low thermal resistance, high compressibility and compliancy, natural tack and good electrical insulation.
Increased service life!
The special material composition of the Core pad reduces the risk of silicone bleeding, Alphacool says. According to Alphacool it can be used for a substantially longer period of time than conventional heat conduction pads without significantly losing performance.
Versatile use!
The pad is electrically non-conductive, and Alphacool rates its electrical insulation as excellent. That is why it can also cool electronic components in many other devices. Alphacool names electric vehicles, autopilot systems, cell phones, servers, motherboards, power supplies, LCD TVs, notebooks, telecommunication devices, access points, memory modules, etc. Other pads of this thickness are in our 1 mm thermal pads section.
