The Alphacool Aurora Flexlight 30cm - RGBW is a 30 cm RGBW LED strip with a 5-pin female RGBW-LED connector and an adhesive strip on the back. No adapter is in the box.

RGBW against RGB

Alphacool says RGBW LEDs are superior to normal RGB LEDs in terms of color and luminosity. The biggest advantage compared to standard RGB-LEDs is the ability to reproduce the color white. A normal RGB LED can only produce a rather cold and slightly off-white. RGBW LEDs, however, use a white LED in addition to the red, green and blue ones, so they can also produce what Alphacool calls a perfect white. This is simply because of the fourth LED, which also explains the higher overall luminosity.

Where it goes

Alphacool calls the Aurora Flexlights RGBW-LEDs the ideal solution to illuminate your PC, especially when it comes to modding. Of course, RGBW LED strips can light anything else that you would want to in your home. They can be used as mood lighting in the living room, an under light for the bed in the bedroom or cabinet lighting in the kitchen: so much is possible. The adhesive strip is there to ensure the Flexlight can be easily attached to the surface of your choice.

What it needs

The connection is made via the 5-pin connector, so the strip needs an RGBW output to run from. If you use the LEDs in your PC, you can connect and control them with various compatible controllers.
