The Alphacool Front I/O-Panel with USB 2.0 and Cable Kit for Servercases is a front I/O panel for Alphacool server cases in the 1 to 4U format, with its set of 8 connection cables. It offers two USB 2.0 ports in addition to the power and reset switch. The USB 3.0 version is the ES Front I/O-Panel with USB 3.0 and Cable Kit.

The board

Besides the ports and switches, the board also carries various status LEDs, to keep a constant eye on the functions of the server rack. These include one status LED each for the hard disk and for power, and three status LEDs for the network connection. On the board there are 2-pin connectors for all LEDs and for the power and reset switch. That makes three connectors for the network LEDs, and of course one connector each for the power switch, the reset switch, the HDD LED and the power LED.

Mounting

The board is fixed with 4 screws. Its mounting holes have an inner diameter of 3.5 mm. Measured from the center point, the distances between the mounting holes are 74 mm x 24 mm.

The cable set

The connection cables fit the Alphacool I/O front panels for server racks. The set consists of a total of 8 cables, each with a pure cable length of 80 cm without connectors. Seven of them are 2-pin cables for the network LEDs, the power and reset switches and the HDD LED. The last one serves as the USB 2.0 connection cable and ends in the typical 9-pin header.

The cables are the Alphacool Front I/O Cable Kit USB 2.0 & 2Pin (female/female). The board is the Alphacool Front I/O-Panel with USB 2.0 for Servercases 1U, 2U and 4U.
