The Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 Full Copper 480mm Radiator is a 480 mm radiator for four 120 mm fans, 60 mm thick. It measures 517 x 124 x 60 mm and has seven G1/4 connections and M3 fan threads.

Full copper

Alphacool says the new NexXxoS radiators are the first to truly deserve the "Full copper" attribute. Not only the fins and channels but the chambers also are made from copper, so all main parts are. By Alphacool's account this brings an improvement in performance where other radiators are left without a chance. In its view the material already gives an advantage over the competition, and the inner structure is up to par with the competition. The chambers are separated to give the coolant a clear direction, allowing high flow rates which improve the performance of the whole cooling loop. They are flat chambers too, and thanks to the reduced overall length of the heat exchanger they increase mounting flexibility.

Ports and mounting

Alphacool names versatile and easy mounting as one of the main points on which its research and development department focused. On both inlet and outlet the chamber offers three possibilities for fitting installation (not on the NexXxoS ST30). With that choice less angled fittings are needed, improving flow rates and offering more mounting possibilities. Hence the radiator can even be installed in tight enclosures, where internal installation is otherwise not a possibility. On all UT60 and NexXxoS Monsta radiators a G1/4 screw plug allows easy de-aeration of the radiator and hassle-free vertical installation of the heat exchanger. Its threaded opening can even be used for filling, e.g. in combination with a Fillport.

What the loop needs

The radiator has seven G1/4 connections: three on the inlet, three on the outlet and the de-aeration port. A loop uses two of them, so it takes two fittings, and the five screw plugs in the box close the rest. It takes four 120 mm fans, and the box holds sixteen M3x30mm and sixteen M3x35mm screws for them.

In this fan size the next thickness down is the NexXxoS XT45 Full Copper 480mm Radiator and the next one up is the NexXxoS Monsta 480mm Radiator.

Notes

• Use the radiator only with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can also void the manufacturer's warranty.
