The Alphacool Core Loop Cleaning - 100ml is a cleaning concentrate for a water cooling loop: one 100ml bottle is mixed with 1 liter of distilled water. The mixture should not run through the system for more than 30 minutes at a time, and Alphacool recommends it exclusively for its own components, with no liability for damage to third-party products.

What it is for

Regular maintenance is required to maintain the cooling performance of any water cooling system, and for this reason Alphacool has developed its Core Loop Cleaning Liquid. Thanks to its composition the concentrate can effectively remove residues. Alphacool says the additives it contains protect the loop from corrosion, limescale and other contaminants. In addition, the data sheet says it protects copper, chrome, brass and nickel. Alphacool's advice is that the Core Cleaning Liquid should definitely be used for your next cleaning.

Simple and effective: how to use it

The manual starts with the old coolant, which is removed completely. Mix the concentrate only with distilled water or Alphacool Ultra Pure Water without additives. It should never be mixed with tap water. Depending on the degree of soiling, the mixture runs through the water cycle until the desired result is achieved. Alphacool warns that prolonged use beyond the 30 minutes can lead to damage to the nickel or chrome plating. Thereafter the mixture is drained and the components are rinsed once more, again with distilled water. Rinsing removes all residues, and Alphacool says this protects the components over the long term. Then the loop can be refilled with any liquid.

Loosened dirt

The cleaning solution loosens dirt and deposits from surfaces, yet it does not dissolve them. The loosened dirt may get trapped in the cooling fins and cause clogging, so Alphacool recommends thoroughly rinsing the coolers with distilled water. For a complete cleaning it advises disassembling the cooler and cleaning the fins separately, for example with a soft toothbrush.

Notes

• Alphacool's note on application: use only with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. It warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses.
