Question 1

Is this going to be compatable with a Westell Model 7500 Router? I'm not sure how the Wireless SB1000 booster will hook into my current router.

Not sure how your router is, but for me I just unscrewed the antenna from the router and used the supplied cable to connect this to it.  Basically it is just a powered super antenna that replaces the one that came with the router itself.  Make sure to look at the manual for a description of how the signal will propagate.  Good luck!.

Does this work with Comcast/XFinity Modem?

There shouldn't be a problem with any modem.  If your modem is a residential gateway that has wireless built in, it's as simple as replacing the correct antenna (if it has two or three).  The instructions are pretty straight forward how to select the right antenna.

I have mine connected to an ActionTec residential gateway and use the antenna to boost transmission up the hill about 150 feet to an Amped high power repeater.  Works like a champ.

Will this work with a Cisco WAP300N access point? Will it actually increase my signal?

You should be able to use it on the WAP300N, the WAP300N has two exterior antennas and the SB1000 should be able to attach.  However, I'm not sure if it will increase your signal.  It didn't increase mine when I attached the SB1000 to my modem/router.  I have a very tough time with getting my wireless to work with range etc. in my townhouse and I'm now using the LINKSYS AC1900 router.  I have eliminated my Netgear wireless extender  WN3000RP from my network because the LINKSYS AC1900 provides a superior signal strength and range.  Everything is dependent on your application though and results can vary.  There are so many variables when it comes to wireless applications.   I hope this helps.

Hello Newegg Customer Base,

If I have an internal PCI-E adapter in my pc that has external antennae, can I plug this into said wireless adapter rather than my router, which has internal antennae? I believe this Amped Wireless Antenna uses the same connectors as my PCI-E card antennae, so in theory, wouldn't this do the trick?

Yes you can do that as well.  At home I use this antennae off of my router........at work we have many PC's on the shop floor that use this antennae off of their wireless adapter to get better range to our network......it works either way.  Hope this helps you with your question.

What is the outdoor range of this booster?

I have not tested the range on this amp. How ever I do know that a 1W signal should reach about a 1/2 mile if you have direct line of sight. This distance also may vary dependent on your antenna. You also have to take into account the strength of your wireless adapter attached to your computer.
