Antec TriCool92mm 92mm 3-Speed Case Fan

Pros: Nice fan, pretty quiet. I like the adjustable fan speed you can set.

Pros: There is no doubt about this being a quiet fan. The three position switch gives set percentages in lowering the fan speed. Comes with mounting screws. The main items are this fan has a three-pin connection for motherboards and a Molex power adaptor connection that still allows the use of the RPM sensor wire. The fan also appears to have a very low current draw at even "high" speed. Creates decent airflow. Decent enough airflow, I could now easily upgrade my current processor to a faster multiple core model without making the computer case any louder than it was was when configured OEM from Compaq - and the OEM Compaq was whisper quiet (very quiet).

Cons: Doesn't come with a protective grille - if you can really call that a con.

Overall Review: I used this fan as an intake fan for a 2000 year Compaq Presario EL7000T case that had been upgraded with an ASUS M4A-78E motherboard, AMD Athlon64 3600+ processor, and Apevia 500W power supply. The Compaq OEM case had only used the original PSU fan and Pentium II HSF fan for cooling. A reliable and extremely quiet Compaq OEM, the new upgrades did not increase the fan noise - just the speed and versatility of the computer! The new processor and motherboard now stay between 38C and 43C, which is an improvement of six degrees C using this Vantec fan. I use the "High" speed setting on this fan's switch and the AMD and ASUS cooling utilities handle the needed fan speeds. So far, this fan has never needed to run higher than 1070 RPM in use, but the fan is still quiet when revved higher - and this computer is very quiet and reliable using it. Going from 900MHz. to 2.4GHz., and all you can notice is much faster processing, says it all. This fan was all the old Compaq case needed added.

Pros: Fan comes with power adapter so that it can either connect to the motherboard or LP4. Reasonably quiet on medium with decent airflow.

Cons: I've only had it installed a week, so no news yet on time until failure.

Overall Review: Installed into antec matx nsk3480 as intake fan to move some air across the hard drive.

Pros: I'm quite impressed with this fan. On the lowest speed setting, it is nearly inaudible. Barely can tell if it's even on (sound-wise), and only if you are closer than 3 feet. On medium setting it is still whisper quiet, but moves a solid amount of air. This is the setting I use, and recommend. On highest setting it moves a lot of air, but it is too loud for my tastes. Wouldn't use it on this setting unless you absolutely don't care about noise.

Cons: Kind of noisy on the highest setting. Thankfully you can still get very good airflow on medium setting with almost no noise.

Overall Review: Unless you demand the absolute quietest fan(s) known to man, this 92mm fan will serve your purposes. On low or medium, it is VERY quiet.

Pros: Great looking, Love the manual switch, No LED's which I think are unnecessary as I won't see them in the back of the case. Seemed to cool the case pretty good at first.

Cons: Manual switch cord could be alot longer.

Overall Review: I made the mistake of trying to give a local PC store my business, they've never steered me wrong before and I've never had an issue with anything I bought from them till now. Got it home and opened the package only to see the 3 pin connector even though it says right on the package 4 pin connector included so my plan of moving my other case fan to the front of the case is a no go till I get a 3-4pin connector. I should've figured something was fishy since the package was so easy to open and it looks like somebody else took a knife or scissors to the packaging. Yesterday it seemed to work pretty good keeping the case cooler than the oem fan. However today the fan didn't even come on when I started it so I had to pop the case open and start the pc give the fan a flick with my finger to get it started, and switched the setting to high as I had set it for medium yesterday. Doesn't seem to be cooling the case off as well today though so I might end up returning it and order one from here.

Pros: Very Quiet. Good for use in front of a small case.

Cons: Don't expect too much out of it.

Pros: Works just like how a fan should, but better since it has a built-in 3 speed controller. On high speed, it's barely audible and it pushes a good amount of air. I've been using Antec fans for over two years and none has failed me yet. I have three Antec fans in my build right now running nice and quite on medium speed.

Cons: None at all.

Overall Review: How good are the build quality to these fans? I currently own one of the 80mm Blue LED ones since October of 2008. Even as of today, it is still running just a well as it was the first day I bought it. I hope that this one will last me just as long as the 80mm one.
