my new asus motherboard requires 24 pin and 8 pin
connectors.  does this power supply support those connections?

if not, what do you recommend.

It should.  The antec website states that it has a single 20+4 pin connector and a 4+4 pin connector.

I chose this ps because it has the amperage that I was looking for on the +12V rail.  I really don't mind if it's not multi-rail and it's got decent ripple attenuation.

I don't know what the rating is, but mine runs really quite with this case:   DIYPC Ranger-R8-Y Black/Yellow USB 3.0 ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case with 3 x Yellow Fans (1 x 140mm LED Fan x side, 1x120mm LED Fan x front, 1 x 120mm fan x rear)

this psu antec tpc 750 started a faint clicking less then a month old ,any idea's on how to fix without rma?

It's doubtful that the noise is caused by the fan or bearing this early but if you can verify that the noise is likely coming from the fan (including the fan bearing) then definitely RMA it.

Otherwise, there is a condition known as coil whine that is quite common in the higher wattage psu's.  I have not yet detected it in mine but won't be surprised it it turns up eventually.

Is this power supply compatible and sufficient for the GeForce GTX 780 Graphics Card?

It will be more than sufficient. A standard system 1 GTX 780 will use around 400 watts. That is good for the 750 watt power supply chosen because they are usually more efficient around half load. The power supply may even be capable of running 2 GTX 780's in SLI depending on what else you have in the system. But for just the one graphics card, this is a good choice.

I have a HP Pavilion 500-164 currently I have a 350W power supply can I use this as an upgrade I have a 4 pin supply?

If you check the Antec website under Products / Power Supplies / TruePower Gold Series you will see they show all the connectors for the Antec power supply.  Use this for a compatibility check against your HP Pavilion motherboard connector requirement.

From what I can find, it does not appear to support those power states, If you google search for haswell supported psus you will find a list from tech reports as one of the top results.

does this ps support dual xeon processors?

At this time 2 xeon chips shouldn't exceed 320w at full load so it could work.  It would depend on the end result of the build for the total system power requirement.  I've found it to be an excellent psu.
